Job description

**Scope of Role:** The CAE Engineer is responsible for delivering Durability CAE projects to customer by guiding and mentoring a team size of about 3-4 team members. He is responsible for understanding the customer requirements in detail and deliver to his satisfaction. Very Good understanding in Strength and Durability Fundamental Experience in **BIW & stiffness, closures strength and stiffness, trims loadcases.** Hands on Experience simulation with Abaqus, Optistruct , Nastran, LS dyna, **Ncode, FEMFAT solver** & pre / post processing **Altair tools like Hypermesh, ANSA, Hyperview, Hypergraph,** **Area of Responsibility:** This position is primarily responsible to lead Durability team & delivery projects at provided scope and timeline, also meet customer specific targeted performance for OEMs/ Tier 1 and 2 suppliers. You will have responsibility for. Should be able to perform Strength and Durability projects which include - Develop finite element (FE) models of BIW components using ANSA, HM, ensuring high mesh quality and accurate representation of geometry and material properties. - Perform linear and non-linear static, dynamic, and fatigue analyses using Abaqus, Optistruct, LS dyna to assess structural integrity and predict fatigue life. - Analyze simulation results and propose design modifications to improve durability performance. - Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate simulation results and recommendations to design teams. - Collaborate with design engineers to implement design changes and optimize BIW/Clouser/ Trims structures for durability. **Knowledge / Experience** ~ 6 to 9years in automotive application - Performing baseline strength and durability simulations, root cause analysis, summarise results with issues identifications and alternative design solutions to meet project targets - Regular interaction with the Project Team Leader, Design teams, Liaison Engineer and Component Module Leaders in an efficient manner to give conclusive feedback and design recommendations. - Awareness of potential design constraints (packaging, manufacturing etc.) and ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions. - He/she should guide a team size of 3 to 4 strength and durability Engineers. - Under supervision from CAE Project Manager / senior technical specialist, he is responsible for planning and scheduling for effective utilization of resources for successful projects executions and delivery with highest quality standards as agreed upon with end customer. - He/she is expected to be innovative in the processes used for execution in order to enable reduction of man hours efforts required to execute a particular task as well as reduce mistakes in the simulation by way of use of automation tools and overall leading to an increase in productivity. - Prepare project plan from strength and durability Analysis perspective, resource allocation and ensure the delivery of project on/before time, meeting quality criteria as mandated by the CAE Project Leader / Liaison Engineer - Update Project task tracker and quality checklist - Review the analysis task performed by team members and give suggestions - Mentor new team members on technical skills as part of their job training **Qualification:** - BE/B.
