As an organization, we are committed as one firm to our purpose, united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed. **General Description Of Role** The **Tech Engineer – Specialty Platforms** is responsible for the **technical implementation, configuration, integration, and support** of one or more specialized business platforms (e.g., underwriting, pricing, risk, real‑estate, or other domain‑specific systems). This role combines **hands‑on engineering skills** with strong understanding of **business workflows and data** , working closely with product owners, business analysts, architects, and other technology teams to deliver stable, scalable, and well‑integrated solutions. **Job Responsibilities** - Platform Implementation & Configuration - Implement and configure specialty platformsaccording to solution designs and business requirements. - Develop and maintain rules, workflows, data models, and integrationswithin the platform. - Support client / product onboardingand configuration (e.g., programs, policies, rating rules, tax rules, certificates) as needed. **2** ) **Development & Integration** - Design, develop, and maintain APIs, services, and componentsthat integrate specialty platforms with upstream and downstream systems. - Write clean, testable code using agreed technologies (e.g., .NET, C#, SQL, REST APIs, messaging). - Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussionsto ensure high‑quality solutions. - Environment, Deployment & DevOps - Support build, deployment, and release processesacross Dev/Test/UAT/Prod environments. - Work with DevOps/Platform teams to maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and loggingfor specialty platforms. - Assist in performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization of platform components. - Support, Maintenance & Issue Resolution - Provide L3 technical supportfor incidents and problems related to specialty platforms. - Analyze and resolve issues in a timely manner, including root cause analysisand preventive actions. - Maintain technical runbooks, support guides, and knowledge base articles. - Collaboration & Documentation - Collaborate with business, product, and operations teamsto understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Produce and maintain technical documentation: design specs, interface contracts, configuration guides, and deployment instructions. - Contribute to continuous improvementof engineering practices, standards, and tools within the Specialty Platforms team. **Skills/Competencies Required** **Desirable / Nice-to-Have** - Experience with one or more specialty/domain platforms (e.g., insurance policy admin, pricing engines, risk platforms, real‑estate systems, or other line‑of‑business tools). - Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and related services (App Services, Functions, containers, messaging). - Experience with message queues / event streaming (e.g., Service Bus, Kafka) is an advantage. - Knowledge of DevOps practices (infrastructure‑as‑code, environment automation, monitoring & observability). - Experience in e.g., Real Estate Insurance / reinsurance / Invoicing / Policy Management. **Competencies** - Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and stability of platforms. - Good communication skills, able to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Ability to learn new platforms and technologies quickly. - Collaborative team player with a mindset of ownership and continuous improvement **How We Support Our Colleagues** In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we are proud to be an equal opportunity workforce.
