Get to know us at genpact.com and on LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and Facebook. **Job Description** The SAP BTP BASIS Expert is responsible for coordinating, governing, and overseeing SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) across hybrid landscapes, including on-premise SAP environments, SAP RISE & SAP BTP cloud services. This role ensures secure, compliant, and standardised platform operations across SAP applications, integration services, and database platforms. The position acts as the technical coordination lead within the SAP BTP and platform services domain, aligning internal teams, SAP cloud services, hyperscalers, cybersecurity functions, and third-party vendors under a structured governance and shared-responsibility framework.The SAP BTP BASIS Expert drives long-term platform supportability, operational resilience, security governance, and audit readiness while managing BTP services, including identity and access management limited to Platform, connectivity, integration, monitoring, and platform administration. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives and enables business value through secure, scalable, and reliable SAP cloud platform operations. Key responsibilities include managing BTP landscapes, platform security configurations, transport and connectivity services, identity services limited to the platform, integration monitoring, and lifecycle management while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and cloud governance standards. - Experience in SAP Basis, S/4 HANA & HANA native DB - Hands-on experience with BTP, which should include spinning up new subaccounts, destinations, service keys and cloud connectors. - Skill in SAP Cloud Security and Governance - Skill in SAP Cloud Transport Management and Lifecycle Management - Good understanding of SAP RISE / Cloud platform operations - Should be able to drive strategic platform improvements and modernisation initiatives. - Support enterprise digital transformation initiatives leveraging SAP cloud platforms. - Strong understanding of SAP RISE operating model and hybrid (on-prem + cloud) landscapes - Knowledge of cloud/hyperscaler environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) within managed SAP contexts - Experience managing vendors and holding them accountable to SLAs and KPIs - Strong analytical, risk assessment, and structured problem-solving skills - Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across global environments - Strong governance and process-oriented mindset - Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language - Effective English communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) - Ability to operate effectively in dynamic and evolving environments Key responsibilities: - Lead SAP BTP platform administration and operations across enterprise hybrid landscapes. - Provide guidance to the Development and AMS partner on the right process of execution. - Regularly monitor the BTP operation stability to ensure no impact on the BTP task. - Play the role of bridge between the Development operation team to ensure the right transitions are being done and the team understand their responsibilities in respective areas. - Act as the central coordination point between SAP, hyperscalers, internal platform teams, and cybersecurity stakeholders. - Define and implement SAP BTP platform governance from the Basis project and operational point of view. - Oversee SAP BTP service availability, platform reliability, and operational SLAs. - Manage integration, connectivity, and platform services, including SAP Integration Suite and Cloud Connector. - Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements. - Lead risk management initiatives and implement mitigation strategies for cloud platform risks. - Oversee platform lifecycle management, including service provisioning, monitoring, and performance optimisation. - Drive automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives for SAP BTP environments. - Leading as an SPOC to consume the demand from the requester and working closely with the BTP architecture team to ensure that we follow the right guiding principles. **Qualifications** Bachelors - Computer Engineering, Bachelors - Computer Science, Bachelors - Information Technology, Masters - Software Engineering **Certifications** Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) - Workforce Academy OnlineWorkforce Academy Online **Required Skills** SAP Basis, SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), SAP Overview **Language** English (Required) **Language Proficiency -** Proficient - C2 **Additional Job Location -** **Job Type** Regular **Master Skill List -** Enterprise Applica
