Technical Courseware Developer This role has been designed as Onsite with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE partner/customer office. What youll do - Design, develop, deliver, and maintain customer-facing, best-in-class user content. - Create a variety of deliverables: concepts and tasks for networking features, in-product help, installation instructions, illustrations, video scripts, and course modules. - Produce hands-on learning activities and labs for cloud services, automation, and networking products. - Collaborate with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to gather requirements and ensure accuracy. - Analyze product specifications and recommend the best learning approach and content format. - Learn the customer experience through hands-on use of networking products to ensure practical, usable content. - Follow established style, process, and quality guidelines to ensure consistency and completeness. - Lead or support content development projects and coordinate with other writers when required. - Use AI tools to scale content creation while retaining high quality and accuracy. What you need to bring Minimum qualifications - 5+ years producing technical content, preferably for advanced software or networking products. - BA/BS in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or related degree; networking certification or comparable experience acceptable. - Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, accurate, and easy-to-use technical content. - Good understanding of technology concepts: cloud computing, automation, networking, data centers, security, or other advanced software technology. - Hands-on experience with network technologies: routing, switching, security, network automation, virtual machines, containers, and cloud services. - Ability to research complex technical concepts independently and collaboratively. - Familiarity with XML authoring, content management systems, and courseware development tools. - Strong problem-solving skills and comfort making progress with incomplete information. - Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to use AI tools effectively to scale content creation. Preferred qualifications - Familiarity with DITA/XML authoring principles and broader content management concepts. - Comfortable authoring in Markdown and MS PowerPoint. - Experience leading documentation efforts and mentoring other writers. - Familiarity with Agile program management and tools such as JIRA. - Experience with HPE Aruba Networking and/or HPE Juniper Networking products and technologies. - Industry network certifications. Tools and tooling skills - Content tooling: CMS, version control (Git), single-sourcing workflows. - Project management: Agile, JIRA, task tracking and estimation. - Multimedia tools: basic video editing, screen-capture, diagramming (Visio, Lucidchart). - AI-assisted content tools: prompt design, validation, and quality-control workflows. Analytical and problem-solving skills - Technical research: quickly learn undocumented or evolving tech. - Troubleshooting: reproduce customer issues, design reproducible lab scenarios. - Data-driven decision making: use metrics/user feedback to improve content. Communication and collaboration - Cross-functional collaboration: work with SMEs, engineers, product managers, and support. - Stakeholder management: gather requirements, negotiate scope, clarify acceptance criteria. - Mentoring and leadership: guiding other writers, leading content projects.
