Oracle DBA L3 **Years of Experience:** 8+ years **Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) Level 3 with over 8 years of hands-on experience in managing and optimizing Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and backup and recovery strategies. This role requires a proactive approach to database management and a commitment to ensuring high availability and security of database systems. **Responsibilities:** - Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. - Implement and monitor database backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity. - Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patching as required. - Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, providing timely support to application teams. - Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and database configurations. - Develop and maintain database documentation, including architecture diagrams and operational procedures. - Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements. - Monitor database performance and implement proactive measures to prevent issues. - Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies. - Participate in on-call rotation for database support. **Mandatory Skills:** - Extensive experience with Oracle Database (version 11g and above). - Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, including RAC and Data Guard. - Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL programming. - Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques. - Hands-on experience with backup and recovery solutions, including RMAN. - Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager and other monitoring tools. - Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience with cloud-based Oracle database solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud). - Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance standards. - Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation tasks. - Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server) is a plus. - Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) are preferred. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment. - Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle databases. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
