Technical Lead Application Development (.NET Core / Azure)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced **Technical Lead** to drive the design, development, and delivery of a modern Pension & Benefits Administration platform comprising web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in **.NET Core, C#, Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), SQL Server, Azure DevOps, REST APIs, and modern JavaScript technologies**. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring close collaboration with engineering teams, product stakeholders, and business users. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership - Lead architecture, design, and development of enterprise-grade web and mobile applications. - Build scalable backend services using .NET Core, C#, REST APIs, and gRPC. - Drive application security, performance optimization, and scalability initiatives. - Conduct architecture reviews, design reviews, and code reviews. - Define and enforce engineering best practices and coding standards. Team Leadership - Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team of 1015 developers. - Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, UX Designers, and business stakeholders. - Promote a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement. - Provide technical guidance and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions. Stakeholder & Requirement Management - Gather and analyze business and technical requirements. - Translate requirements into technical designs and delivery plans. - Communicate project status, technical risks, and dependencies effectively. Delivery & Agile Execution - Drive sprint planning, estimations, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. - Ensure high-quality releases through CI/CD and automation practices. - Manage end-to-end SDLC including development, testing, deployment, and support. DevOps & Quality Assurance - Manage source control, build pipelines, and release workflows using Azure DevOps. - Implement automated testing practices including unit and integration testing. - Establish quality gates, documentation standards, and deployment best practices. Required Skills Backend - 10+ years of experience in software development. - Strong expertise in: - .NET Core / .NET 8 / .NET 9 - C# - Entity Framework - SQL Server - REST APIs - gRPC Services - Experience with authentication and authorization frameworks: - JWT - OAuth2 - Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) Cloud & DevOps - Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) - Docker & Containerization - Azure DevOps - Git & Branching Strategies - CI/CD Pipeline Design and Implementation - Cloud-native application architecture Frontend - JavaScript (ES6+) - TypeScript - Node.js - React.js - Next.js - Responsive UI Development Testing & Quality - Unit Testing & Integration Testing - Performance Optimization - Application Monitoring & Observability - Accessibility Standards Leadership Experience - Proven experience leading engineering teams of 1015 members. - Strong agile delivery and stakeholder management skills. - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. - Experience in SaaS product development or startup environments. - Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor. Preferred Skills - Pension Administration or Benefits Administration domain experience. - Experience in Financial Services or Insurance platforms. - Keycloak or Identity & Access Management solutions. - Figma and UI design collaboration. - Data visualization frameworks.
