**Job Title:** AVP – Regional Technical Architect **Department** : ITG Cardif **About Business line/Function:** BNP Paribas Cardif is the insurance subsidiary of BNP Paribas. In Asia, Cardif regional IT team provides services to our business entities in Japan, South Korea , Taiwan and our regional office in Hong Kong. **Position Purpose:** The regional Tech lead / Architect works for Cardif Asia regional IT. You will be responsible for defining, co-building, communicating, or validating a technical architecture (covering both application software architecture and infrastructure architecture) description to ensure the new IT solution under development fits for its intended purpose. You will predominantly focus on technologies or solutions implementation by providing a technical leadership for development / integration teams and defining standards and practices to stick to. You will have the responsibility for technical architecture and associated documentation (guidelines, specifications, etc.) and will ensure that the Information System (at both IT System and Application software levels) is consistent and sustainable. The regional Architect works in close collaboration with the other architects at central or local level and with Subject Matter Experts. **Responsibilities** Direct Responsibilities **Design Solution** - Contribute to impact analysis and studies about business needs and architecture enhancements / evolutions - Help define non-functional requirements for the designed solution - Support project / product teams to design IT solutions and new technical architectures - Make recommendations about technologies to use (IT System, application software, etc.) - Identify the interfaces between components and collaborations between them - Realize exploratory studies or prototypes to investigate the feasibility of a new IT solution and whether they fit in with existing architecture - Assess technical risks related to the solution to implement **Govern And Control Architecture** - Organize and contribute to architecture and security committees - Contribute to project identification / selection (portfolio), assessment, and validation in a collaborative way - Monitor technical architecture requirements within project activities - Ensure the company’s systems are secure and reliable Draft technical specifications defining the functionalities and capabilities to be implemented **Solution Implementation And Support** - Provide support to implement IT solutions and new technical architectures and incorporate it on existing IS - Draft and update procedures and instructions regarding operations - Lead the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and - recommend solutions for improvement - Contribute to identify and resolve the root cause of incidents Contributing Responsibilities **Define The Architecture Vision And IS Master Plan** - Identify the emerging technologies and contribute to technology watch studies in his/her area of expertise - Contribute to the definition of target information system architecture in the 5-year Master plan **Design Reference Architectures** - Contribute to architecture frameworks definition and maintenance - Promote the architecture frameworks - Contribute and validate technical architecture documentation (e.g. technical patterns) **Technical & Behavioral Competencies** **Specific Qualifications** Minimum 10 years of experience in IT development, or system integration.
