**About the Role:** We’re building and evolving a core platform that powers multiple applications and critical business workflows. This platform provides foundational capabilities such as authentication, data access, notifications, and shared services used across the organization. We’re looking for a Technical Lead who will own the reliability, operability, and long-term evolution of this platform — while leveraging AI-native engineering practices to operate and scale the system efficiently. **This is not a feature-delivery role** . This is a systems ownership role, where your success is defined by: - How predictably the platform runs - How quickly issues are understood and resolved - How effectively complexity is reduced - How intelligently AI is used to accelerate debugging, automation, and system understanding You’ll lead a small, high-impact team and build a culture of AI-augmented engineering, where humans focus on judgment and systems thinking, and AI accelerates execution. **What You’ll Do:** Own Platform Reliability & System Behavior - Own availability, performance, and system health - Define and drive SLOs for critical workflows - Build systems that are resilient, predictable, and easy to reason about Lead System Design & Evolution - Drive architectural improvements in high-impact areas - Identify and resolve bottlenecks in performance and dependencies - Improve fault isolation, recovery, and service boundaries Build AI-Native Engineering Workflows - Use AI tools for: Debugging and root cause analysis Code generation, testing, and documentation - Integrate AI into workflows: AI-assisted runbooks and diagnostics Prompt-driven debugging and knowledge retrieval - Establish safe AI-assisted engineering patterns with validation Improve Observability & Debuggability - Ensure services are observable and easy to debug - Standardize logs, metrics, traces, and correlation - Leverage AI to accelerate issue understanding and pattern detection Reduce Complexity & Operational Load - Simplify the platform by removing redundancy and standardizing patterns - Convert repetitive work into automation and AI-assisted workflows Lead & Enable a High-Ownership Team - Mentor a lean team - Drive strong system thinking and AI-augmented productivity - Enable engineers to independently debug and operate services Drive Production Excellence - Lead resolution of critical production issues - Improve detection → diagnosis → recovery workflows - Ensure learnings translate into system and workflow improvements Collaborate Across Teams - Work with DevOps/Infra on scaling and reliability - Partner with engineering teams to align platform with real usage **What We’re Looking For:** Core Engineering - 6–10 years in backend/platform engineering - Strong in Python, Go, or Node.js - Deep understanding of distributed systems, failure handling, and production debugging AI-Native Engineering (Mandatory) - Hands-on use of AI tools in real workflows: Cursor, Copilot, Codex, Gemini, - Ability to: Debug and build using AI effectively Validate AI outputs (not blind usage) Create repeatable AI-assisted workflows using agentic frameworks - Strong prompting + validation mindset Systems Ownership - Experience owning systems in production - Ability to simplify complexity and make trade-offs - High ownership and independent execution Leadership - Experience leading small, high-impact teams - Strong communication and decision-making skills
