At IBM, we understand the importance of flexibility, so this is a hybrid role requiring 3-days a week in the office. **Your Role And Responsibilities** We are seeking a technical product marketing leader to join our Software Product Marketing team. As a Technical Product Marketing Manager for Asset Lifecycle Management portfolio, you will be responsible for translating complex technology into clear market value, technical narratives, and field-ready content that helps buyers, users, sellers and partners understand why IBM Software matters and how it works in real-world environments. You will support go-to-market strategy, product launches, and demand creation for IBM Software products that are core to IBM’s growth. You will collaborate with teams across geographies, including Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Technical Sales, and Business Partners. In the role, you will help connect differentiated points of view with the right buyers, users, and influencers, measured by outcomes such as new signings, retention rates, average customer value, market share, analyst perception, product adoption, win/loss rate, and sales effectiveness. **Your Primary Responsibilities Include** Act as the market catalyst for IBM Software products, providing data-driven views on customer problems, market dynamics, competitors, and differentiation. - Identify opportunities, distinctive competencies, and positioning for IBM software products - Translate technical capabilities into compelling messaging, user-relevant content, demos, and stories for customers, analysts, partners, and internal teams - Support product launches by delivering technical content and enablement that explain new capabilities, integrations, and use cases in a clear and credible way - Stay active in customer conversations at events or in the field and online - Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Technical Sales to build accurate, high-quality technical narratives and assets aligned to go-to-market priorities - Perform competitive analysis and incorporate differentiated value into technical messaging, content, and sales plays - Help enable sellers and partners through training, field feedback loops, and technical storytelling that improves customer conversations and win rates - Contribute to content and messaging that reflects how IBM Software products integrate into broader ecosystems, workflows, and partner technology environments **Required Technical And Professional Expertise** - At least 3 years of experience in product marketing, technical product marketing or field-facing role related to cloud, infrastructure, or IT operations - Industry / technology expertise in several of the following areas: AI, hybrid cloud, infrastructure, automation, DevOps, security, data and analytics - Ability to quickly learn new technologies, understand product capabilities, and compare competing solutions - Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling value propositions and customer-facing narratives - Ability to create technical content for external and field audiences, such as white papers, technical briefs, demos, tutorials, or enablement assets - Comfort presenting, demonstrating, or enablement products for internal and external audiences, live or recorded - Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams with different backgrounds and skill sets, including Product Management, Engineering and Technical Sales **Preferred Technical And Professional Experience** - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent technical degree - Experience with technical demo creation or recording tools such as Navattic, Camtasia, or similar platforms - Experience with partner ecosystems, technical integrations, or co-marketing/co-sell motions - Client experience design & measurement (e.g., using technology to measure and improve the customer experience and translate data into meaningful actions) - Ability to take a project from idea to execution, including testing
