Techno-Functional Business Analyst (User Stories & Backlog)

Job description

Colliers is seeking a **Techno-Functional Business Analyst** to bridge business requirements and technical delivery. This role combines business analysis, user story creation, backlog management, application support, troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful delivery and continuous improvement of enterprise applications. **Key Responsibilities** **Business Analysis & Agile Delivery** - Gather, analyze, and document business requirements. - Create Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria. - Manage and prioritize product backlogs in collaboration with stakeholders. - Facilitate workshops and support release planning activities. - Create process flows and data flow diagrams. **Application Support & Troubleshooting** - Analyze and resolve functional and technical application issues. - Perform root cause analysis for production incidents. - Investigate application logs, SQL queries, API responses, and configurations. - Support deployments, testing, and post-release validation. - Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues. **Technical Analysis** - Review and troubleshoot application code written in .NET, C#, Java, JavaScript, Angular, or React. - Analyze APIs and integrations using tools such as Postman and Swagger. - Support integration troubleshooting across enterprise systems. - Validate configuration changes and functional fixes. **User Support & Continuous Improvement** - Provide advanced functional support to business users. - Capture user feedback and recommend enhancements. - Monitor system performance, usage trends, and adoption. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives. **Qualifications & Experience** - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. - 5-8 years of experience in Techno-Functional Business Analysis. - Experience supporting CRM, ERP, Finance, or Property Management applications. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. - Knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes. **Technical Skills** - Strong SQL and database analysis skills (SQL Server, Azure SQL). - Understanding of REST APIs, SOAP services, JSON, XML, OAuth, Postman, and Swagger. - Ability to read and troubleshoot application code (.NET, C#, Java, JavaScript). - Experience with system integrations, middleware, and cloud-based applications. - CRM configuration, UAT coordination, and release support experience are desirable. **Key Competencies** - Business Requirements & User Story Management - Backlog Prioritization & Agile Delivery - Application Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis - SQL & Data Validation - API & Integration Analysis - UAT Planning & Release Support - Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management - Customer Focus & Continuous Improvement Mindset **Why Join Colliers?** - **Global Exposure** Work with regional and global stakeholders. - **Career Growth** Be part of strategic technology and transformation initiatives. - **Collaborative Culture** Partner with business and technology teams across functions. - **Meaningful Impact** – Help shape enterprise applications that drive business performance. - **Innovation Focus** – Contribute to digital transformation and continuous improvement.
