Job Title: Test Analyst Department: Testing Factory **About Business Line/Function** Testing Factory provides software testing services, including manual and automated testing, as well as performance testing. The team ensures quality, reliability, and compliance of applications across BNP Paribas Personal Finance, supporting delivery and transformation initiatives. **Position Purpose** As a Test Analyst, you will ensure the quality of applications by designing, executing, and managing test activities across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will work closely with business, development, and product teams in an Agile environment to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions. You will also leverage modern testing practices and tools, including AI-assisted testing approaches, to improve efficiency and test coverage. **Responsibilities** Direct Responsibilities - Conduct test activities across all phases: test strategy, planning, design, execution, reporting - Understand functional requirements and user stories - Prepare and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios - Define test data requirements - Analyze test results, log defects, andvalidatefixes - Perform regression testing and test case capitalization - Use tools for test management and defect tracking (Jira, Tosca or similar) - Produce test reports and KPIs - Ensure delivery of testing documentation and execution - Identifycandidates for test automation and support automation activities - Participate in continuous improvement of testing processes - Gain understanding of businessprocessesand technical environment Contributing Responsibilities - Collaborate with business, developers, and product owners - Participate in Agile ceremonies - Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices - Support improvements in testing tools and methodologies - Use AI-assisted tools for test design and execution where applicable Technical & Behavioral Competencies - Minimum3–5 years’ experience in software testing - Experience with REST APIs testing (Postman or similar tools) - Good understanding of testing methodologies and SDLC - Knowledge of Agilemethodology - Experience in test management and defect tracking tools **Specific Qualifications** - Minimum 3years’ experiencein software testing - Experience in Agile development environments - Fluent English (written and spoken) – mandatory - ISTQB certification – nice to have **Technical Skills** Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities) - Skill 1 – API testing using Postman or similar tools - Skill 2 – Understanding of REST APIs - Skill 3 – Test design techniques and test case creation - Skill 4 – Test execution and defect management - Skill 5 – Test management tools (e.g.Jira, Tosca) - Skill 6 – Regression testing and test case capitalization - Skill 7 – Test data preparation and validation - Skill 8 – Reporting and test KPIs tracking - Skill 9 – Understanding of Agile and SDLC - Skill 10 – Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and practices - Skill 11 – ISTQB certification (nice to have) - Skill 12 – Banking domain knowledge (nice to have) **Behavioral Skills** - Skill 1 – Ability to research and gather information from stakeholders - Skill 2 – Strong planning, organization, and time management - Skill 3 – Effective communication and collaboration with teams - Skill 4 – Strong problem-solving skills - Skill 5 – Attention to detail and quality mindset Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Banking, Finance, or related field Location: ISPL Chennai **About BNP Paribas Group** BNP Paribas is the European Union’s leading bank and key player in international banking.
