Role: AI + Automation Consultant Job Description: **Role Overview:** - The ?Test Automation + AI? Advisory Consultant is a senior consulting role responsible for conducting modernization assessments, defining standards & build solution across enterprise test automation and AI-augmented quality engineering initiatives. - This role partners closely with client business, IT, and QE leadership to evaluate current-state capabilities, identify gaps, calculate maturity & build transformation roadmaps leveraging modern automation tools. Including any AI enabled testing, and engineering best practices. - Part of QE ?Advisory & Transformation Services? Team; Coforge **Key Responsibilities for the Consultant** *Technical Assessments & Advisory in Quality Engineering* - Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing QA, automation, and AI-readiness maturity across applications, tools, environments, and engineering practices. - Analyze current frameworks, automation pipelines, test coverage, technical debt, and infrastructure to identify improvement opportunities. - Evaluate feasibility and ROI of AI-driven quality engineering solutions (e.g., autonomous test generation, NLP-driven tests, self-healing scripts). - Develop assessment reports including findings, risks, gaps, maturity analysis, scoring matrices, and prioritized recommendations. - Present assessment results to senior stakeholders with transformation roadmaps. *AI enabled Test Automation Strategy Development* - Define automation strategy including tool selection, architecture, coverage targets, and integration approaches. - Design strategies to integrate AI/ML into test processes?test case generation, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and test optimization. - Identify use cases where generative AI can accelerate functional, regression, API, and performance testing. Establish standards & best practices - Produce high-quality documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, assessment findings, and framework artifacts. *Design Framework & Solution Architecture* - Architect scalable, modular, maintainable automation frameworks (UI/API/Mobile/Data) using modern tools and patterns. - Define AI-enhanced components such as intelligent object recognition, self-healing locators, or model-based test generation. - Support pilot implementations, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and phased rollouts of automation and AI-enablement initiatives. *Consulting, Stakeholder Engagement & Governance* - Partner with business, product, and engineering leaders to define quality KPIs, automation goals, and operational governance models. - Facilitate workshops to assess needs, clarify requirements, and drive technical decision-making. - Guide teams on best practices for traceability, test design, and risk-based testing using AI-enhanced approaches. *Implementation Support & Delivery Transformation* - Mentor teams on architecture patterns, coding standards, automation frameworks, and AI-based testing accelerators. - Oversee transition from legacy automation to next-gen AI-driven frameworks. - Monitor execution progress, risks, ROI and dependencies while ensuring alignment with transformation goals. **Experience Required :** - 8-10 Years in Test Automation - Expertise on working with multiple test frameworks across major automation tools in code pipeline as part of continuous testing - Working experience in AI-augmented QE lifecycle activities; with custom / COTS platforms. - Deep understanding of different test automation approaches / design patterns (keyword-driven, Data-driven, BDD, hybrid, Model based, Code-less, etc.) - Expertise in multiple Automation tools & Coding languages - Experience in Source Code Management tools, Code coverage tools, build management, containerization & cloud platforms - Knowledge on latest QA & Test automation trends - AI capabilities and evolution of test automation capabilities
