We are seeking a **Test Automation Engineer** with strong experience in **Playwright and/or Selenium** to design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality, reliable, and performant software delivery across web platforms. **Key Relationships:** Internal Stake Holder – EMEA ART Leader, ART Leadership team, India EMEA Technology AVP, and Business process Owners for EMEA Technology. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Playwright is a must and/or Selenium. - Python – Scripting language is desirable. - Create and execute automated and manual test cases covering: o Functional Testing o API Testing o Mobile Testing o Integration Testing - Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements, especially within Banking and Insurance domain applications - Ensure compliance with ISTQB best practices and standards for test design and execution - Actively contribute within Agile/Scrum teams using Azure DevOps (AzDo) for sprint planning, test management, defect tracking, and reporting - Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines - Analyze test results, identify defects early, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. - Review and improve test automation code quality; hands-on coding experience is highly desirable - Mentor junior QA engineers and promote strong quality engineering practices across the team - Participate in release readiness, regression cycles, and production validation when required **Education:** - Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent. **Technical Stack:** - Main Skill: Test Automation Engineer (Playwright / Selenium) - Functional, API, Mobile and Integration Testing - Insurance domain knowledge is good to have. - Knowledge on Azd & Github is a must have. - Test certification would be preferential: (ISTQB) or equivalent. - Experience with postman desirable - Coding experience desirable. - Competencies: Experienced - Collaboration - Communication: Ability to communicate effectively to ensure results are achieved - Agile Practices - Collaboration Tools - Product/Business/Industry experience - Application Design/Architecture - Cloud Native Technologies - Communication: Ability to communicate effectively to ensure results are achieved - Collaboration: Proven track record collaborating and working effectively in a global and multi-cultural environment - Diverse environment: Can-do attitude and ability to work in a high paced environment - Ability to support CI/CD pipeline setup and operations **Soft Skills:** - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to balance technical innovation with business value delivery. - Business acumen: A level-headed, clear communicator to gain detailed level of understanding of organizational business requirements and business dynamics. - Self-Motivated and able to work independently. - Attention to detail - Collaborative - Team Player - Decisive - Supportive - Passionate - Professional - Accountable **About MetLife** Recognized on Fortune magazine's list of the "World's Most Admired Companies" and Fortune World’s 25 Best Workplaces™, MetLife, through its subsidiaries and affiliates, is one of the world’s leading financial services companies; providing insurance, annuities, employee benefits and asset management to individual and institutional customers.
