Job description

Could you be the full-time Test Laboratory Manager in Bangalore were looking for Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in testing standards, methods, and tools in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside a collaborative and innovative team of professionals. You'll play a key role in managing our Test Laboratory, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with industry standards. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with internal teams such as Engineering, Quality, RD Program Managers, and external stakeholders like service providers, equipment suppliers, and certification bodies. You'll also oversee the development and maintenance of testing methods and tools, manage the laboratory's quality system to achieve and maintain accreditations. You'll specifically take care of managing the Test Laboratory's performance, including profit and loss (PL) responsibilities, and ensuring compliance with EHS directives. You'll also lead the team, foster innovation, and build meaningful partnerships both internally and externally. Well look to you for: - Ensuring compliance with EHS directives and instructions by the test lab team members - Managing the Test Laboratorys PL, including defining investments and optimizing resources - Developing and preserving external recognitions such as accreditations (e.g., EN 17025, ISO, IRIS) - Leading the Test Laboratory team, managing objectives, and fostering professional growth - Ensuring test lab most relevant contribution to Alstom RD and Innovation strategy - Implementing, managing and continuously improving the quality system of the Test Laboratory - Developing and ensuring the preservation of external recognitions (CAB for 17025 Accreditation, ISO, IRIS) when applicable - Ensuring the achievement of the tests in accordance with the SQCD commitment, depending onTDS / CDS organization. - Implementing, managing, and continuously improving the Test Laboratorys quality system - Ensuring the independence, integrity, and confidentiality of the laboratory staff - Building and nurturing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders All about you We value passion and attitude over experience. Instead, weve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role: - Bachelors or Masters degree in elecrical or Electronics Engineering with 12 - 15 years of Test Lab environment experience. - Mastery of testing standards (e.g., EN 17025), methods, tools, and means - Fluency in English - 2 to 5 years of experience in team management, depending on team size and scope - Practical experience in testing phases, with at least 2 years in Railway, Health, Defense, Aeronautical, or Automotive industries - Electrical habitation level, as required by local legislation and EHS rules - Strong knowledge of train systems or traction systems (minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant domain) - Experience in managing work packages for external customers
