Travel Logistic Coordinator- Warehouse Operations

Job description

The Transport Management Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring transportation activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and damage-free delivery of furniture, home décor, and homeware products from the warehouse to stores and customers. The role focuses on fleet utilization, vendor coordination, route planning, shipment tracking, and ensuring service level adherence. **Key Responsibilities** - Plan and schedule daily dispatches from the warehouse. - Coordinate with transport vendors and fleet partners for timely vehicle availability. - Optimize vehicle utilization and route planning to reduce transportation costs. - Monitor shipment movement and ensure on-time deliveries to stores and customers. - Track delivery performance and maintain transportation KPIs. - Resolve delivery delays, transit issues, and customer escalations. - Coordinate with warehouse operations for loading and dispatch schedules. - Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards. - Verify transport documentation, invoices, PODs (Proof of Delivery), e-way bills, and delivery challans. - Maintain transporter performance scorecards and negotiate service improvements. - Analyze freight costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization. - Support reverse logistics, returns, and damaged goods movement. - Generate daily, weekly, and monthly transport reports. **Required Skills** - Transport planning and route optimization - Vendor and fleet management - Logistics and supply chain coordination - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Knowledge of TMS, WMS, SAP, or ERP systems - Advanced MS Excel and reporting skills - Excellent communication and stakeholder management - Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment **Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field. - 3–7 years of experience in transportation, warehouse logistics, or distribution. - Experience in retail, furniture, e-commerce, or home improvement industries is preferred.
