Core Function The responsibilities outline a role focused on the Treasury function within a company, which is responsible for managing the organization's financial assets and mitigating financial risks. Key Areas of Focus The responsibilities can be grouped into the following specialized areas: 1. Cash and Liquidity Management Daily Operations: Processing daily investments and redemptions. Forecasting: Preparing and updating cash flow forecasts and analyzing variances (working closely with AP/AR). Liquidity Control: Ensuring required liquidity across all entities and bank accounts. 2. Investment Portfolio Management Policy Adherence: Managing the investment portfolio strictly as per the Investment Policy. Analysis: Analyzing various investment instruments to optimize returns while adhering to policy. 3. Risk Management (Foreign Currency & Interest Rate) FX Risk: Understanding foreign currency risk and using tools like forward and derivative contracts to hedge or manage this exposure. Economic Analysis: Analyzing fast-changing economic scenarios and interest rate scenarios in various geographies. 4. Compliance and Policy Regulatory Compliance: Managing compliances prescribed by various central banks (like the RBI in this case, suggesting operations in India). Policy Governance: Adhering to, updating, and understanding treasury policies and procedures. 5. Operations and Technology Stakeholder Liaison: Liaising with bankers, internal teams (like AP/AR), and middle management. Process Improvement: Assisting in digitization/automation projects and supporting Cash Management System (CMS) optimization.
