Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our hiring process, the position, or our company. **TCS is hiring for Linux Admin Position** **Chennai Location** **Interview Date : 13-Aug-26** Exp : 8 Years to 13 Years **Please find the job description** - Leading and supporting the L1 and L2 teams in Linux system administration. - Ability to manage Linux environment, Strong experience on file system management, package management, patch management, LVM management, NFS, troubleshooting. - Server installation, Administration, and performance optimization with Linux flavors. - Troubleshoot problems with deployed servers or perform new deployments from scratch. - Experience in Linux HA clusters in build and configurations - Perform OS patch management, application upgrades and server migrations for Linux based systems. - Knowledge of kernel parameters and their configuration - Administering and troubleshooting disks using volume management - Experience in network and SAN configuration - Good understanding of network protocols like NIS, FTP, DNS, and NTP - Knowledge & experience in monitoring, logging and cost management tools - Problem Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues. - Perform back-up/recovery functions for Linux server environments. - Provide technical assistance to team and support for applications, hardware, software problems. - Install and maintain agents on servers for centralized monitoring and management. - Support virtualization Linux Servers hosted on VMWare, Xen, KVM or another similar hypervisor platform. - Coordination with multiple stakeholders / Third party Vendors for break-fix. - Perform all security/compliance functions for Linux server environments. - Must be able to lead the critical outage calls. - Performing root cause analysis of problems. Prepare a plan of action, implement changes, document all work completed and train support staff. - Participate in weekly/ monthly/ customer meetings and provide activities reports. - Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes and procedures. - Installation and configuration of Linux Packages/services/Software. - Working and Administration of LVM, i.e., volume group, physical volume, logical volume, file system. - Creating and Administration of Paging space, devices. **Interested Candidate Please share the below Details:** 1.
