**Urgent Opportunity for the role of Document Controller based at Sanand site** Position Document Controller Role Type Offroll On the Payroll of Genius **Job Summary** The Document Controller is responsible for managing, maintaining, tracking, and controlling all project documentation throughout the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project lifecycle. The role ensures accurate document flow between clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments while maintaining compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and document control procedures. Key Responsibilities Document Management - Maintain and administer the project document control system. - Receive, register, classify, distribute, and archive project documents. - Control engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, reports, and correspondence. - Ensure all project documents are accurately recorded and easily retrievable. - Maintain document numbering and revision control systems. Engineering Document Control - Track engineering deliverables and monitor submission schedules. - Manage revisions and updates of drawings and technical documents. - Coordinate with engineering disciplines to ensure timely document submission. - Maintain master document registers and transmittal logs. Vendor & Procurement Documentation - Control vendor documents including datasheets, drawings, manuals, certifications, and inspection reports. - Coordinate with procurement and expediting teams for document submissions. - Monitor vendor document review cycles and approval statuses. Construction Documentation - Maintain site records, work packages, method statements, RFIs, NCRs, and inspection reports. - Ensure construction teams have access to the latest approved drawings and specifications. - Control issuance and withdrawal of superseded documents. - Maintain as-built drawing records and final turnover documentation. Client & Contractor Coordination - Manage document transmittals between client, consultant, subcontractors, and project teams. - Track comments and responses received from clients and consultants. - Ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing communications. Quality & Compliance - Ensure compliance with company document control procedures and project specifications. - Support audits by providing required documentation and records. - Maintain document retention and archiving procedures. - Ensure confidentiality and security of project documents. Reporting - Generate weekly and monthly document control reports. - Track pending document submissions and approvals. - Monitor document turnaround times and report deviations. **Required Qualifications** **Education** - Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Management, or related discipline. **Experience** - 3-8 years of experience as a Document Controller in EPC, construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, energy, or industrial projects. - Experience handling large-scale project documentation. - Knowledge of engineering and construction document workflows.
