Visit our careers page to learn more about life at Nutanix. **Job Summary** The India Design Team is looking for a UX Designer, skilled at solving design problems in a highly complex domain. The right candidate will enjoy working on enterprise-level products and might have some familiarity with the market space Nutanix operates in. **The ideal candidate will,** - Ramp up quickly on the Nutanix product domain, processes and culture. - Take ownership of features or product areas and work collaboratively with PM, Engineering and other stakeholders to discuss requirements and constraints. - Understand problems with medium complexity and create simple and elegant design solutions. - Produce high quality UX designs based on first principles and data, while meeting schedules and deadlines. - Present designs to key stakeholders with the rationale for design decisions with the goal of building consensus and improving the product experience. - Proactively facilitate teamwork to accomplish common goals. - Plan, conduct, document and present research work related to their product areas. - Work with UI development and backend engineering teams to ensure effective execution of designs **Required skill set:** - Proactively facilitates teamwork to accomplish common goals. - Works well with a variety of teams and skill-sets. - Proactively solicits feedback for improvement. - Participates in and supports effective conflict resolution within a team. - Builds relationships with other stakeholders and influencers. - In-depth knowledge of design processes and understanding of the Eng Development processes. - Contribute to improvements to the Design processes. - Strong presentation and communication skills **Minimum Requirements** - 2+ years of user experience design experience for web applications with a bachelor’s degree in design/ graphic design/ fine art/ computer science or related CS/design field. - Passion for design, telling customer stories and simplifying the complex problems. - Strong working knowledge of the latest wireframing/ design and prototyping tools. - Familiar with user research techniques and usability testing (in-person and remote), user research, contextual inquiry, interviews, qualitative design analysis, and design thinking. - Experience working across multiple phases of design (interaction, visual design, and prototyping). In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
