**POSITION SUMMARY** The position of Validation Engineer is responsible for verifying suspension bushing and link designs meet product performance, durability, NVH, and reliability targets. Responsibilities include coordinating physical testing, leading problem solving to guide design direction, and managing validation through collaboration and ownership of the DVP&R. This role requires cross-functional expertise to convey test requirements from the DVP&R through the test lab and report completion. Interpretation of acceptance criteria, and design standards based on analytical evaluation, laboratory testing, and vehicle-level validation. The position will work closely with program teams to support development, validation, and successful launch of new suspension products. **Duties & Responsibilities** - Manage the program Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) for suspension bushings and links. - Develop verification and validation plans including timing, sample allocation, test requests, and prototype build support working closely with the assigned program engineer. - Coordinate and execute laboratory and vehicle-level testing for durability, stiffness, compliance, articulation, environmental exposure, and NVH performance. - Analyze customer requirements, vehicle loads, and field usage conditions to support target setting and definition of test boundary conditions. - Lead development of Technical Report and presentation of test data for customer technical reviews with the program team. - Participate in design reviews, DFMEAs, and cross-functional discussions to influence robust suspension bushing and link designs early in development. - Assess validation risk and communicate program status, technical issues, and recommendations at each phase of development. - Support development of test methods, fixtures, data acquisition plans, and acceptance criteria for rubber-to-metal and suspension link products. - Review test data and correlate laboratory, CAE, and vehicle results to improve design robustness and validation efficiency. - Work with suppliers and internal teams to define validation requirements, review component quality, and support product launches. - Apply lessons learned from previous programs to new designs, standards, and validation practices. - Other duties as assigned. **Requirements** - Understanding of suspension system validation methods, including durability, stiffness, compliance, articulation, environmental, and NVH testing. - Experience with rubber-to-metal components, suspension bushings, links, or related chassis products is preferred. - Working knowledge of mechanical testing, fixture development, instrumentation, and data acquisition for component and system validation. - Must have demonstrated ability to use structured problem-solving tools and root cause analysis methods. - Demonstrated experience developing and managing DVP&R documentation. - Ability to review, interpret, and communicate test data and correlation between CAE, laboratory, and vehicle results. - Project management skills in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-tasking environment. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Minimum requirement is a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline with at least 2 years of experience in a related field. - Level of role depends on experience and qualifications.
