In this full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, the VFX Editor will ingest and conform plates, track shot updates, and prepare reference edits for internal reviews and client presentations. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed edit logs, coordinating with production, VFX supervisors, and artists, and ensuring delivery specifications and naming conventions are strictly followed. The role will also involve troubleshooting editorial issues, updating sequences as shots are approved or revised, and supporting clear communication of editorial changes to the wider team. **Qualifications** - Strong proficiency with non-linear editing software (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar) and experience managing complex timelines and versioning in a VFX or post-production environment. - Solid understanding of VFX workflows, including plates, temp comps, final renders, EDLs/XMLs, frame rates, codecs, and delivery formats, with the ability to ensure editorial accuracy and consistency. - Excellent organizational and time management skills, including meticulous attention to detail when tracking shots, handling media, and maintaining up-to-date edit documentation. - Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with production, VFX supervisors, artists, and clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Ability to quickly learn and adapt to studio-specific tools, pipelines, and asset management systems, and to troubleshoot basic technical issues in an editorial context. - Prior experience in VFX, post-production, or feature/TV editorial is strongly preferred; familiarity with international studio workflows and large-scale projects is an advantage. - Relevant education in film, media, animation, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, along with a strong interest in visual storytelling and cinematic craft. - Willingness to work on-site in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and to align with global production schedules when required.
