Position: VP- Sales (for one of the group companies of Aranca) Location: Mumbai, India Employment type: Full time Travel: Possible, but not mandatory Reporting to: CEO Market focus: Primarily European and US customers, with planned overlap with US business hours The Opportunity This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the global Salesforce ecosystem. What took days and weeks to understand and analyse can now be fixed in minutes with greater accuracy and insight than a human analyst. You can be a driving force in bringing an agentic solution to a global market that works and changes the way Salesforce teams solve problems, make decisions and deliver change. The Role We are looking for a hands-on Vice President of Sales to manage the full sales funnel from pre-sales to sales execution, manage a sales team, and drive predictable revenue growth. The successful candidate will combine strong sales leadership with the ability to personally support or lead consultative sales conversations when required. They will understand the Salesforce ecosystem, be comfortable engaging both technical and executive stakeholders, and have experience selling to US customers while working from India. This is a player-coach role. The VP of Sales will establish clear sales discipline, coach the team through live opportunities, and become directly involved in strategic or complex deals and lead by example. Key Responsibilities • Own the sales pipeline and overall sales performance. • Recruit, manage, coach, and develop sales team members. • Establish clear standards for qualification, discovery, opportunity management, forecasting, proposals and pricing, negotiation, and closing. • Maintain accurate pipeline data and provide concise, evidence-based reporting to the CEO and leadership team. • Lead regular pipeline and deal reviews, identifying risks, stalled opportunities, and actions required to improve conversion. • Build a predictable sales process with clear opportunity stages, exit criteria, responsibilities, and performance expectations. • Personally lead or support important customer opportunities when consultative sales expertise is required. • Conduct discovery calls with Salesforce administrators, architects, transformation leaders, business stakeholders, and executives. • Translate Salesforce challenges of prospects into relevant use cases and measurable business value to build successful proposals. • Work closely with marketing, customer success, product, and leadership to improve positioning, sales materials, customer handovers, and market feedback. • Identify recurring patterns across wins, losses, objections, and stalled deals, and use these insights to improve sales execution. • Develop productive relationships within the Salesforce ecosystem, including customers, consulting partners, and other relevant organisations. Experience and Qualifications • Significant sales experience within a Salesforce ISV, consulting partner, systems integrator, AppExchange business, or related enterprise-software organisation. • Demonstrated success selling complex B2B SaaS, technology, or consulting solutions. • Experience owning a sales pipeline, forecast, quota, and revenue target. • Experience in hiring, managing, and coaching salespeople. • Successful experience selling to US customers while based in India. • Strong consultative-selling skills, including discovery, problem diagnosis, value articulation, stakeholder management, negotiation, and closing. • Ability to understand Salesforce-related technical and operational challenges and connect them to commercial outcomes. • Excellent written and spoken English. • Comfortable working planned hours that provide appropriate overlap with US customers and prospects. Personal Capabilities • Strong commercial judgement and sales discipline. • Ability to absorb complex information quickly and identify the issues that matter. • Skilled at recognising patterns, risks, inconsistencies, and gaps in customer or pipeline information. • Clear and concise communicator with both technical and executive audiences. • Effective player-coach who can manage the team while contributing directly to important deals. • Evidence-led and realistic in forecasting. • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, hands-on environment. Measures of Success Success in the role will be measured by: • Increasing the number of meetings and conversions; • revenue and quota attainment; • forecast accuracy; • opportunity conversion and sales-cycle progression; • performance and development of the sales team; • successful progression and closure of strategic US opportunities; • consistency of sales execution and CRM discipline; and • quality of collaboration with marketing, product, and customer success.
