**Job Description:** Cockpit Engineer with launch experience of Cockpit and associated module parts. Should have good Knowledge in plastic part design , manufacturing and basic of plastic Tooling Knowledge and should know Basic of plastic row material. Conduct feasibility studies for styling surfaces for packaging, assembly & manufacturing. Check regulatory requirements for Cockpit Module parts and make sure all regulations are met. Talk to all department, collect and organize feedback sessions with styling. Create time plans for Cockpit Module systems and make sure all milestones are being met. Prepare RFQs for Tier 1 suppliers for Cockpit . Review Design Concept sheets, Planning drawings, Master sections, CAD & Component drawings. Conduct detailed Design reviews and prepares data for Technical sign off. Conduct DFMEA and DVP reviews and prepare documents for sign off. Conduct mock-up/ proto trails when necessary. Work on Fit& Finish plans and make sure design meets intent. Review PAT targets and make sure design will cater to targets. Resolve current model issues through MINTS. Incorporate feedback through JDP, MINTS, IQS etc, in design. Review CAE ,CFD results and identify areas of improvement. Key deliverables: 1. Developing and monitoring design concepts, master sections along with Engg supplier 2. Ensure all regulatory requirements like HFI, Interior fittings, etc implemented in concepts and Product Engg 3. Fitment trail of proto, parts, mock up to be done with ERC proto shop along with Engg or MFg supplier 4. Analyse root cause of build issues following 4D & 8D process and Build support 5. Visit and review Engg and Mfg supplier to drive design and Engg related decisions 6. Interaction with CAE, Crash, NVH, CFD team and provide Engg input and interpret analysis to strengthen Engg 7. Line build support and TS interaction to have smooth and easy part, assly, sub-assly of cockpit & Console assembly on line 8. Ensure Engg input to supplier and internal DVA team and analyse and interpret DVA to convert it into Engg solution to improve design 9. Sliding & Fixed armrest design with latch, hinge mechanism 10. Along with PLM, TCuA hands on Experience will be preferred. **Job Responsibility:** Interact with styling and other department and deliver feedback. Attend war-room meetings and report to Chief Engineer on status of milestones. Work with VI team for build plans (Alpha, Beta, PO, PP & SOP) Release all Cockpit parts in the system to facilitate builds. Attend and take part in Tool Kick off process. Witness build events, validation events, vehicle trials, jury evaluations and provide feed back. Identify issues, suggest countermeasures and implement in Design. Work on Quality improvement and ICR related activities on current and future products. Release parts in PLM system.
