**Position Name: Logistics Engineer** Educational Qualification: Diploma, B.E. / B. Tech (Mechanical / Production / Automotive / Design) Technical Skills : - Greenfield and brownfield logistics project execution - Inbound, outbound, and inplant logistics planning - Material flow design (supplier plant line warehouse yard) - Milkrun, JIT, JIS, CKD/SKD logistics concepts - Linefeeding methods (kitting, sequencing, bulk supply) - Transportation strategy and returnable packaging management - Logistics layout planning and optimization - Yard management and FG vehicle logistics planning - Lean logistics principles (FIFO, Kanban, Supermarket concepts) - Process mapping for logistics operations Tool Skills: - AUTOCAD - MS Office, Power point, Excel - TEAM CENTER Special Requirements: - Worked with Global Automotive Clients - Knowledge of Inbound, Inhouse & Outbound Logistics - Press, BIW, Paint, TCF shop, Yard logistics planning Job Description : - To execute Plant Logistics Planning projects of Global OEMs. - Manage project teams for Logistics & SCM - Project planning, budgeting, execution, and implementation. - Technical and commercial guidance for project team. - Lead, motivate and achieve project deliverables. - Design, develop, and optimize endtoend logistics concepts covering inbound, inplant, and outbound material flows. - Engineer efficient supply chain solutions aligned with production volumes, takt time, and line requirements. - Plan and validate material flow layouts, warehouse concepts, supermarkets, and linefeeding strategies (bulk, kitting, sequencing). - Define and optimize packaging and container management concepts, including returnable container loops and inventory sizing. - Conduct time studies, manpower calculations, and resource planning to ensure efficient logistics operations. - Develop process maps and drive continuous improvement through lean logistics principles. - Perform logistics cost calculations, scenario analysis, and budget planning for new projects and volume changes. - Support greenfield and brownfield projects, including layout development, capacity planning, and rampup readiness. - Coordinate with suppliers, OEMs, logistics service providers, and internal stakeholders to align logistics requirements. - Define and monitor logistics KPIs such as inventory turns, container availability, and logistics cost performance. - Support system integration between ERP (SAP), WMS, MES, and Yard Management Systems. - Evaluate and implement automation and digital solutions (AGVs, AMRs, Pick-by light, barcode/RFID, Auto Call, traceability systems). - Ensure quality, safety, and compliance with automotive standards and internal logistics guidelines. - Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, layout drawings, and management presentations. - Support RFQs by providing technical logistics inputs and feasibility assessments.
