**Role** **Embedded Developer C/C++, Embedded Networking & SONiC** **Experience** **4 to 10 Years** **Location** **Hyderabad** **Required Technical Skills** - Strong programming expertise in **C and C++**. - Experience with **Embedded Systems Development** and firmware design. - Hands-on experience with **FreeRTOS, Linux, and QNX**. - Experience working on **ARM, STM, PIC, LPC, PowerPC**, and other 32-bit microcontrollers/processors. - Strong understanding of **Embedded Networking** concepts including **TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet, VLANs, Routing, Switching, and Socket Programming.** - Experience with **SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud)** architecture, feature development, platform integration, or network operating systems. - Experience in **Board Bring-up, BSP Development, Device Driver Development, and Hardware-Software Integration**. - Knowledge of **IPC mechanisms**, multithreading, synchronization, and system-level debugging. - Hands-on experience with communication protocols such as **I2C, SPI, UART, RS232, CAN, and Ethernet**. - Familiarity with software configuration management, defect tracking, CI/CD tools, code reviews, and development lifecycle processes. **Must-Have Skills** - BE/B.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Strong experience in embedded firmware development and troubleshooting on platforms such as ARM, 8051, ATMEL, STM, PIC, LPC, and PowerPC. - Excellent programming skills in **C and C++**. - Proven experience in developing embedded software for real-time, multitasking environments using RTOS. - Strong understanding of operating system concepts, memory management, IPC, synchronization, and hardware abstraction layers. - Experience in **Embedded Networking**, network stack integration, and protocol development. - Experience working with **SONiC-based networking solutions**, switching platforms, or network operating systems. - Expertise in board bring-up activities, device driver development, firmware integration, and target environment setup. - Ability to debug firmware, driver, OS, and networking-related issues. - Strong understanding of hardware interfaces and peripheral communication protocols. **Good-to-Have Skills** - Experience in **OS Porting** and BSP customization. - Exposure to **Linux Kernel Internals** and Linux Device Driver development. - Experience in SONiC platform development and open networking ecosystems. - Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols. - Experience with data center networking, white-box switches, or cloud networking solutions. - Scripting knowledge in Python or Shell for automation and testing. **Roles and Responsibilities** - Analyze project requirements and contribute to solution design for embedded and networking products. - Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware and software components using **C and C++**. - Develop and enhance networking functionalities including TCP/IP stack integration, switching, routing, and SONiC-based features. - Perform board bring-up, driver development, hardware validation, and system integration activities. - Execute firmware testing, debugging, performance tuning, and compliance verification. - Collaborate with hardware, system, validation, and software teams throughout the product lifecycle. - Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in embedded systems and networking technologies. - Contribute to architecture discussions and drive detailed low-level design and implementation. - Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices. - Ensure code quality, scalability, maintainability, and compliance with organizational standards. - Troubleshoot complex system-level issues across firmware, operating systems, drivers, and networking layers. - Deliver high-quality, robust, and production-ready embedded networking solutions.
