**Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)Must-Have** 1. **Hands-on experience with the configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of** 1. **Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and Access Points (APs).** 2. **Cisco Prime Infrastructure / DNA Center** 3. **Cisco ISE, RADIUS/AAA, 802.1X authentication** 1. **Good understanding of:** 1. **Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)** 2. **RF fundamentals, modulation, interference, roaming** 3. **Wireless security (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, EAP types)** 4. **Site survey tools like Ekahau,** **AirMagnet.** 1. **Handle L2 wireless incidents, service requests, and user connectivity issues.** 2. **Troubleshoot access point (AP) registration, client association, roaming, and authentication problems.** 3. **Perform basic configuration changes on Cisco WLCs (AireOS / 9800 series) under guidance.** 4. **Monitor wireless performance, alarms, and AP/WLC health through tools like Prime/DNAC.** 5. **Assist with RF checks, channel/power adjustments, and coverage validations.** 6. **Support onboarding of new APs, SSID updates, and floor map changes.** 7. **Document resolutions, update SOPs, and provide inputs for knowledge base articles.** 8. **Work closely with L3 teams for escalations and deeper RCA.** 9. **Should be ready to work in 24X7 Shifts.** **Good-To-Have** 1. **Good Knowledge & Hands on experience on Cisco WLCs.** 2. **Familiarity with DNAC, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, and basic spectrum analysis.** 3. **Understanding of VLANs, routing basics, and network troubleshooting tools.** 4. **ITIL Certification.** 5. **Technical Certifications such as Cisco CCNA Wireless.** 6. **Analytical and problem-solving abilities.** 7. **Good communication and documentation skills.**
