**Tata Consultancy Services** Walk-In Drive | Application Packaging Engineer | Chennai | 6-8 Years Experience **Location:** Chennai **Walk-In Date:** 08 August 2026 **Experience Required:** 6-8 Years **Mode:** Walk-In Interview **Job Title** **Application Packaging Engineer (Admin Studio / Intune / SCCM)** **Job Description** We are looking for an experienced **Application Packaging Engineer** with 6-8 years of expertise in enterprise application packaging, deployment, testing, and lifecycle management. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience with **Flexera Admin Studio, InstallShield, Intune, SCCM/MECM, PowerShell scripting, and application virtualization technologies**. Key Skills Required - Strong hands-on experience with **Flexera Admin Studio, InstallShield**, and standardized packaging templates. - Expertise in creating, repackaging, converting, and customizing applications in: - MSI - MSIX - MSIX Conversion - App-V 5.x - macOS PKG - Experience with application sequencing using **Microsoft App-V 5.0**. - Strong experience deploying applications through **Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM**. - Expertise in source validation, OS compatibility testing, dependency mapping, and clean VM testing. - Strong troubleshooting skills using: - ProcMon - Event Viewer - CMTrace - Installer logs - Hands-on experience with **PowerShell scripting** and **PSAppDeployToolkit (PSADT)**. - Experience working with **Orca**, MSI tables, Merge Modules, and VB Script custom actions. - Experience in silent installations and software distribution automation. - Strong understanding of **ServiceNow (SNOW)** and **ITIL processes**. - Experience with **Patch My PC** for automated packaging, version monitoring, and publishing to SCCM/Intune. Roles & Responsibilities - Manage end-to-end application packaging requests from validation to production deployment. - Perform source validation, complexity assessment, dependency review, and compliance checks. - Create and customize MSI, MSIX, App-V, and PKG packages using AdminStudio and InstallShield. - Conduct installation, upgrade, rollback, and compatibility testing across Windows 11 and macOS environments. - Support UAT activities, deployment validation, issue resolution, and business sign-off. - Manage production rollouts, change requests, deployment waves, and rollback planning. - Troubleshoot application packaging and deployment issues. - Perform vulnerability reviews, application upgrades, and lifecycle management activities. - Maintain packaging documentation, ServiceNow records, version history, and deployment evidence. - Contribute to process improvements aligned with KPIs and SLA commitments. Good-to-Have Skills - Experience integrating **Flexera AdminStudio with Microsoft Intune**. - Knowledge of **MSIX modernization**, UWP compatibility, and migration of legacy MSI/EXE applications.
