**Company:** Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) **Role:** Network Administrator **Experience:** 6-8 Years **Location:** Noida, Uttar Pradesh **Employment Type:** Full-Time Job Summary Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking an experienced **Network Administrator** to manage, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across LAN, WAN, WLAN, Internet, and Data Center environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network operations, incident management, troubleshooting, monitoring, and implementation of network changes within large enterprise environments. The Network Administrator will work closely with Network Architects, Engineers, Security Teams, Vendors, and Service Management teams to support stable and secure business operations. Key Responsibilities Network Operations & Support - Administer and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, Internet, and Data Center connectivity. - Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using standard monitoring tools. - Perform incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for network-related issues. - Ensure network uptime and SLA compliance across supported environments. - Resolve network incidents and participate in major incident management activities. Configuration & Maintenance - Configure, maintain, and support: - Routers - Switches - Wireless Controllers - Firewalls - VPN Devices - Perform standard change implementation, firmware upgrades, patching, and configuration backups. - Implement approved network designs and infrastructure changes as per enterprise standards. - Support network device lifecycle management and operational maintenance. Security & Compliance - Support enterprise network security controls and compliance requirements. - Manage: - Firewall rule administration - VPN user access - Site-to-Site VPN configurations - Network segmentation and access controls - Assist in vulnerability remediation activities. - Support audit, governance, and compliance initiatives. - Ensure adherence to enterprise security policies and operational standards. Monitoring & Documentation - Monitor network alerts, logs, and events and proactively prevent service disruptions. - Maintain accurate: - Network documentation - Topology diagrams - Asset inventories - Operational procedures - Create and update SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base documentation. - Provide operational reports and performance updates. Collaboration & Escalation - Work closely with Network Architects and Senior Engineers to resolve complex issues. - Coordinate with vendors and service providers for troubleshooting and support. - Escalate unresolved incidents according to established ITIL processes. - Participate in change management and problem management activities. Continuous Improvement - Identify recurring network issues and recommend process improvements. - Contribute to automation and operational efficiency initiatives. - Participate in post-incident reviews and problem management exercises. - Drive standardization and optimization across network services. Required Skills & Experience Core Networking Skills - 68 years of experience in Network Operations and Administration. - Strong understanding of: - TCP/IP - DNS - DHCP - VLANs - STP - NAT - Working knowledge of routing and switching concepts, including: - OSPF - BGP (Basic to Intermediate Level) - Experience supporting WAN, Internet, MPLS, and VPN connectivity. Vendor & Platform Experience - Hands-on experience with: - Cisco Catalyst Switches - Cisco ISR Routers - Cisco Nexus Platforms (Basic Administration) - Experience with Aruba and Juniper networking solutions is preferred. - Basic administration experience with firewall platforms including: - Palo Alto - Fortinet - Check Point Tools & Operations - Experience with network monitoring and management tools. - Knowledge of: - SNMP - Network Management Systems (NMS) - Log Monitoring Tools - Familiarity with ITIL processes: - Incident Management - Problem Management - Change Management - Experience using ticketing and service management tools. Soft Skills - Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong documentation and reporting abilities. - Ability to work in rotational shifts and provide on-call support when required. - Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
