**Job Title:-Senior Network Engineer Routing, Switching & Wireless** **Experience:-8 – 10 Years** **Location:** **Chennai(24x7 Support / On-call as required)** **Department:-Information Technology (IT) – Network Operations / Network Engineering** **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced **Network Engineer** with deep expertise in **Routing, Switching, and Wireless technologies** across multiple vendors such as **Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki**. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and wireless environments. The role requires strong hands-on experience with advanced routing protocols, switching concepts, and modern network architectures. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Network Configuration & Troubleshooting - Configure and troubleshoot network devices from **Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki** - Manage and support **LAN, WAN, and Wireless network infrastructure** - Perform advanced troubleshooting for network performance issues 2. Routing & Switching Management - Configure and manage routing protocols such as: - **OSPF, EIGRP, BGP** - Implement and troubleshoot **VLANs, STP/RSTP, HSRP, VRF, Port Channels** - Manage switching technologies and ensure high availability 3. Advanced Network Technologies - Work on **Cisco Nexus (5K/7K), Catalyst series, ISR/ASR routers** - Support technologies like: - **VPC, FEX, FabricPath, VXLAN, VSS, VTP** - Configure **Access Control Lists (ACLs)** and routing policies 4. Wireless Network Management - Configure and troubleshoot **Cisco / Aruba Wireless Controllers (9800 WLC)** - Manage enterprise wireless solutions and ensure optimal coverage and performance 5. SD-WAN & Modern Networking - Support **Meraki and Silver Peak SD-WAN solutions** - Optimize network traffic and ensure efficient WAN performance 6. IOS Upgrade & Network Maintenance - Perform IOS upgrades on devices (**Cisco 3650, 9300, 4500, Nexus platforms**) - Execute **non-disruptive upgrades and patching** - Validate configurations and perform rollback planning 7. Protocol & Architecture Expertise - Strong understanding of **BGP concepts**: - Path selection, route reflectors, communities, AS numbers - Expertise in **OSPF configurations**: - LSA, cost, summarization, redistribution - Excellent knowledge of **Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts** 8. Monitoring, Data & Performance Management - Monitor network performance and ensure stability - Analyze network data and troubleshoot issues proactively 9. Documentation & Collaboration - Maintain network diagrams, configurations, and documentation - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution and improvements **Mandatory Skills** - Routing & Switching (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki) - Cisco Technologies (ISR/ASR, Nexus, Catalyst, WLC 9800) - Routing Protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) - VLAN, STP, VRF, Port Channel - Wireless Networking (Cisco / Aruba) **Good-to-Have Skills** - SD-WAN (Meraki, Silver Peak) - IOS upgrades and network maintenance - Advanced troubleshooting & network optimization **Soft Skills** - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - Excellent communication and teamwork - Ability to handle critical network incidents - Proactive and detail-oriented approach **Working Conditions** - Willingness to work in a **24x7 support environment** - Availability for **on-call and critical incident support** **Educational Qualification** - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred) **Hiring Note** Candidate should have strong hands-on experience in **enterprise network environments**, with deep expertise in **routing, switching, wireless technologies, and multi-vendor infrastructure**, along with the ability to handle complex network issues. **Primary Skills (For Portal Entry)** - Cisco Networking - Routing & Switching - BGP / OSPF / EIGRP - VLAN / STP / VRF - Wireless (Cisco / Aruba) - SD-WAN
