**Job Title:-Nutanix & VMware Infrastructure Engineer** **Experience:-5 10 Years** **Location:-Chennai(Shift-based / On-call support as required)** **Department:-Information Technology (IT) IT Infrastructure / Virtualization** **Job Summary** We are looking for an experienced **Infrastructure Engineer** with strong expertise in **Nutanix and VMware environments**. The candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise datacenter operations, driving migration initiatives, optimizing system performance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day infrastructure operations. The role requires hands-on experience with **AHV, AOS, Prism, ESXi, and vCenter**, along with strong troubleshooting and migration capabilities. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Infrastructure & Datacenter Management - Manage and maintain **VMware and Nutanix datacenter environments** - Administer Nutanix components such as **AHV, AOS, Prism, LCM, and Move** - Handle **VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter environments** 2. Migration & Transformation - Lead and execute **migration activities from VMware ESXi to Nutanix AHV** - Utilize **Nutanix Move tool** for workload migration - Troubleshoot and resolve issues during migration processes 3. Performance Tuning & Optimization - Monitor system performance and perform **capacity planning** - Optimize infrastructure performance in large-scale enterprise environments 4. Monitoring & Support - Perform **system monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution** - Provide **L2/L3 infrastructure support** for production environments - Ensure high availability and system reliability 5. OS, Networking & Storage Management - Work on **Windows and/or Unix/Linux operating systems** - Manage **Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts (VLANs, IP routing, switching)** - Understand and manage **storage systems and integration** 6. Change & Configuration Management - Follow **ITIL processes** including change management and configuration management - Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues across large environments 7. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing - Create and maintain **technical documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams** - Provide **technical guidance, support, and training** to team members **Mandatory Skills** - Nutanix (AHV, AOS, Prism, LCM, Move) - VMware (ESXi, vCenter) - Datacenter Operations & Virtualization - Migration (VMware to Nutanix) - Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting - Windows / Unix OS - Networking (L2/L3 concepts) **Good-to-Have Skills** - Experience in large enterprise environments - Knowledge of storage systems and integration - ITIL framework understanding - Strong documentation and reporting skills **Soft Skills** - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities - Ability to work in high-pressure environments - Ownership and proactive mindset **Working Conditions** - Willingness to work in **shift-based or on-call environments** - Ability to support **critical production and migration activities** **Educational Qualification** - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / IT or related field (preferred) **Hiring Note** Candidate should have strong hands-on experience in **Nutanix and VMware infrastructure**, with proven expertise in **migration, performance tuning, and enterprise datacenter management**, along with the ability to handle complex infrastructure environments. **Primary Skills (For Portal Entry)** - Nutanix - VMware ESXi / vCenter - AHV / AOS / Prism - Datacenter Operations - Migration (VMware to Nutanix) - Virtualization - Infrastructure Support
