**Job Title:Oracle Exadata DBA (L3 Support)** Experience:- 6 10 Years **Location: Chennai** (24x7 Rotational Shifts / On-Call Support) **Department:-** Information Technology (IT) Database Administration (DBA) **Job Summary** TCS is hiring an experienced **Oracle Exadata DBA (L3)** with strong expertise in Oracle database administration, Exadata infrastructure, and performance optimization. The role involves managing enterprise-scale database environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Candidates should have hands-on experience with **Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, and Exadata systems**, along with strong troubleshooting and automation capabilities. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Oracle Exadata & System Administration - Install, configure, patch, and upgrade **Oracle Grid Infrastructure and databases on Exadata (on-premise / OCI)** - Administer Oracle databases across **production and non-production environments (24x7 support)** - Manage **Exadata cell nodes, storage servers, and InfiniBand network components** 2. Database Administration & Architecture (L3) - Provide **L3 support** with strong understanding of Oracle database architecture - Manage and troubleshoot **Oracle RAC and standalone databases (11g/12c/19c)** - Handle multitenant architectures (**CDB/PDB**) 3. Backup, Recovery & Data Protection - Configure and manage **RMAN backups and recovery strategies** - Perform **point-in-time recovery** during critical incidents - Administer **Data Guard configurations and DG Broker** 4. Performance Tuning & Optimization - Monitor system performance (**CPU, I/O, query performance**) - Perform **SQL tuning and database optimization** - Leverage **Exadata features such as Smart Scan and Hybrid Columnar Compression** 5. Patching, Upgrades & Migration - Perform **quarterly patching for Oracle databases (12c/19c)** - Plan and execute **database upgrades, migrations, and installations** - Ensure minimal downtime during upgrade activities 6. Monitoring & Automation - Monitor databases using **Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM 12c/13c)** - Develop **shell scripts and automation** for routine DBA tasks - Enable proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms 7. Replication & High Availability - Implement and manage **High Availability & Disaster Recovery solutions** - Work with **Oracle GoldenGate (OGG)** for data replication (bi-directional, multi-master setups) 8. OS & Platform Support - Provide database administration support on **AIX, Linux, and Windows environments** - Ensure compatibility and performance across platforms 9. Problem Management & Continuous Improvement - Diagnose recurring issues and implement **permanent fixes (RCA)** - Ensure system stability, performance, and availability 10.
