**Company:** Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) **Role:** Senior Network Engineer **Experience:** 1012 Years **Location:** Sholinganallur, Chennai **Employment Type:** Full-Time Job Summary Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a highly experienced **Senior Network Engineer** to design, implement, optimize, and support enterprise-grade network infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in routing, switching, network security, cloud networking, and capacity planning while providing technical leadership for large-scale network transformation initiatives. This role requires strong architecture, engineering, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available network services. Key Responsibilities Network Architecture & Design - Design and develop scalable, secure, and resilient network architectures for: - LAN - WAN - VPN - Data Center Networks - Cloud Networking Environments - Create high-level and low-level network design documents. - Develop network blueprints aligned with business objectives and technology standards. - Recommend network modernization and transformation strategies. Network Deployment & Operations - Lead the deployment, implementation, and configuration of network infrastructure. - Manage large-scale network upgrades, migrations, and refresh projects. - Install and support: - Routers - Switches - Firewalls - Load Balancers - Wireless Infrastructure - Ensure high availability and optimal network performance. Routing, Switching & Cloud Networking - Administer and troubleshoot advanced network technologies including: - TCP/IP - BGP - OSPF - MPLS - DNS - DHCP - Support hybrid and multi-cloud network environments including: - Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) - Manage and optimize cloud networking architectures and connectivity solutions. Security & Risk Management - Implement and manage network security controls including: - Firewalls - IDS/IPS - Access Controls - VPN Technologies - Conduct security assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities. - Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and policies. - Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Performance & Capacity Management - Analyze network traffic, utilization trends, and performance metrics. - Forecast future growth requirements and conduct capacity planning. - Identify bottlenecks and implement performance optimization strategies. - Monitor network health and reliability across enterprise environments. Container & Modern Networking - Support container networking technologies, including: - Kubernetes Networking - Cloud-Native Connectivity - Collaborate with cloud and DevOps teams on application connectivity and network design. Documentation & Governance - Create and maintain: - Network Architecture Documents - Topology Diagrams - SOPs - Runbooks - Disaster Recovery Plans - Ensure compliance with operational and governance standards. - Support audit and compliance activities. Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership - Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams. - Present network strategies and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders. - Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership. - Participate in solution reviews, architecture discussions, and project governance meetings. Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills - 1012 years of experience in Enterprise Networking, Network Engineering, or Network Architecture. - Strong expertise in: - TCP/IP - BGP - OSPF - MPLS - DNS - DHCP - Hands-on experience with: - Cisco Networking Solutions - Juniper Networks - Arista Networks - Strong knowledge of: - Routing & Switching - Network Security - SDN Technologies - Wireless Networking - Data Center Networking Cloud & Modern Network Technologies - Experience with: - Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) - Knowledge of: - Kubernetes Networking - Container-Based Networking Architectures - Hybrid Cloud Connectivity Leadership & Soft Skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Proven ability to lead complex network projects and initiatives. - Strong documentation and presentation skills. - Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
