**Job Title:-SolarWinds Administrator / Monitoring Engineer** **Experience:- 8-10 Years** **Location:-Chennai (24x7 Support / On-call as required)** **Department:** **Information Technology (IT) IT Operations / Monitoring & Observability** **Job Summary** We are seeking a highly skilled **SolarWinds Administrator** to manage and optimize the organizations monitoring infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining SolarWinds Orion platform modules, ensuring proactive monitoring, system performance optimization, and end-to-end visibility across network, server, and cloud environments. **Key Responsibilities** 1. SolarWinds Platform Management - Install, configure, and maintain **SolarWinds Orion Platform** and modules such as: - NPM (Network Performance Monitor) - NCM (Network Configuration Manager) - NTA (NetFlow Traffic Analyzer) - SAM (Server & Application Monitor) - VNQM, IPAM - Manage **pollers, Additional Polling Engines (APEs), and scalability architecture** - Support integrations with **AWS and Azure environments** - Develop and maintain **custom dashboards, reports, and alerts** 2. Monitoring & Performance Optimization - Monitor performance, availability, and health of: - Network devices - Servers & applications - Databases & cloud resources - Optimize **polling intervals, SNMP/WMI configurations, alert thresholds, and log capture** - Perform **capacity planning** and enhance monitoring scalability 3. Troubleshooting & Incident Management - Analyze alerts and perform **root cause analysis (RCA)** - Collaborate with **Network, Server, Cloud, and Security teams** to resolve issues - Ensure high availability of **SolarWinds application and database components** 4. Automation & Customization - Develop **custom SQL/SWQL queries and scripts** - Create **automation workflows** for monitoring optimization - Build **custom Universal Device Pollers (UnDP)** - Integrate SolarWinds with **ServiceNow / CMDB and ITSM tools** 5. Continuous Improvement & Governance - Improve monitoring coverage and reduce alert noise - Maintain monitoring standards and best practices - Ensure compliance with enterprise monitoring and ITIL processes **Mandatory Skills** - Strong hands-on experience with **SolarWinds Orion Platform** - Expertise in modules: **NPM, NCM, NTA, SAM, IPAM, VNQM** - Monitoring & Observability concepts - SNMP, WMI, and network monitoring protocols - Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis **Good-to-Have Skills** - Experience with **AWS / Azure monitoring integrations** - Knowledge of **ServiceNow / CMDB integration** - Familiarity with **SQL / SWQL scripting** - Understanding of ITIL processes **Soft Skills** - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - Effective communication and cross-team collaboration - Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving - Ability to handle critical incidents and escalations **Working Conditions** - Willingness to work in a **24x7 support / on-call environment** - Ability to support **production-critical monitoring systems** **Educational Qualification** - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred) **Hiring Note** Candidate should have strong expertise in **SolarWinds monitoring tools**, with hands-on experience in **enterprise monitoring, alerting, and performance optimization**, along with the ability to ensure **high availability and scalability of monitoring platforms**. **Primary Skills (For Portal Entry)** - SolarWinds Orion - NPM / NCM / NTA / SAM - Monitoring & Observability - SNMP / WMI - ServiceNow Integration - SQL / SWQL
