Job description

**Role & responsibilities** - 6 to 10 + Years of experience in Windows, VMware, and Azure Administrator An L2 administrator with this skill set is responsible for maintaining and securing Windows Server environments, including troubleshooting logs, performance issues, firewall rules, and permissions. They manage Active Directory and Group Policy for user and policy configurations, while also handling core server tasks such as DNS, DHCP, patching, and role installations. On the virtualization side, they oversee VMware vSphere for VM lifecycle management and vCenter for cluster operations like HA, DRS, and vMotion, along with configuring and troubleshooting storage and networking components. In the cloud, they manage Azure infrastructure operations such as VMs, VNets, storage accounts, and load balancers, while implementing monitoring and security solutions with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and NSGs. Finally, they leverage automation tools like PowerShell and CLI to streamline routine tasks, optimize performance, and reduce manual effort across hybrid environments. - **Design & Architecture:** Create HighLevel and LowLevel Designs (HLD/LLD) for onprem and hybrid infrastructure, covering Windows Server architecture, Active Directory forests/domains, VMware cluster design (HA/DRS), and Azure landing zones including VNets, subnets, NSGs, and connectivity. - **Deployment & Operations:** Perform handson deployment, configuration, and administration of Windows Servers, including role installations (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, File Services, IIS) and lifecycle management of virtual machines across VMware vSphere and Azure environments. - **Identity & Policy Management:** Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), user/group permissions, and security policies to enforce access control, system hardening, and compliance across enterprise environments. - **Migration & Hybrid Integration**: Support and execute migrations from onpremises to Azure (IaaS), and legacy systems to modern platforms using standardized migration playbooks to ensure minimal downtime and service continuity. - **Virtualization & Storage Management:** Administer VMware vCenter, including cluster operations such as HA, DRS, vMotion, snapshot management, and performance tuning, while configuring and troubleshooting storage (datastores, LUNs) and virtual networking components. - **Cloud Infrastructure & Security:** Operate and maintain Azure resources including Virtual Machines, VNets, Load Balancers, Storage Accounts, and Azure Backup, while implementing security controls such as NSGs, and monitoring via Azure Monitor and Log Analytics. - **Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution:** Diagnose and resolve complex L2 issues related to Windows OS performance, event logs, services, patching failures, VMware resource constraints, and Azure infrastructure alerts, ensuring adherence to SLAs. - **Automation & Optimization:** Utilize PowerShell, Azure CLI, and scripting to automate routine administrative tasks, improve system reliability, and reduce manual operational overhead across hybrid environments.
