**Role & responsibilities** 1 • Manage and review VMware ESXi hosts and VMs in the environment 2 • Troubleshoot issues in the ESXI hosts and perform hardware troubleshooting if required 3 • Engage Vendor and coordination across other teams during investigation of issues 4 • Plan and Perform upgrade of firmware in VMware and hardware end like Cisco, HPE if required 5 • Manage and review Windows servers in the environment 6 • Perform frequent health checks on the server and troubleshoot any issues 7 • Analyze System Logs (OS logs) and determine potential issues 8 • Ability to predict any future failures to avoid potential outages 9 • Basic knowledge on PowerCLI, PowerShell scripting to execute commands while troubleshooting issues 10 • Expertise in working on automation and service improvements which will save manual efforts and lead to client benefits. 11 • Experience in performance monitoring tools. 12 • Creating and maintaining procedural documentation 13 • Working experience on ITIL process and following agile standards. 14 • Has knowledge to handle requests in Incident , Change and Problem Management 15 • Must demonstrate and ability to work independently 16 • Deep understanding of VMware architecture comprising of Cluster, ESXI and VMs. 17 • Configuring and monitoring clusters in Vcenter for any issues. 18 • Experience in handling upgrade/migration activities in VMware and windows OS. 19 • Expertise on handling performance issues and restoring the servers. 20 • Capacity management of Windows Servers and Datastores in VMware environment 21 • Hands on experience in handling DRS in VMware 22 • Knowledge of DNS/IP config for ESX and VMs 23 • Ability to handle issues with post OS patching 24 • Experience in handling hardware troubleshooting in Cisco UCS, HPE Oneview and Nutanix 25 • Ability to perform basic command line troubleshooting for determining ESXI or Server issues
