Job description

**Role & responsibilities** **WAS Admin (WebSphere Application Server Administrator)** is responsible for installing, configuring, administering, troubleshooting, and maintaining IBM WebSphere Application Server environments. - Installation, configuration, and upgrade of IBM WebSphere Application Server. - Deployment and management of enterprise applications (EAR, WAR, JAR files). - Creation and maintenance of WebSphere cells, nodes, clusters, and application servers. - Performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity management. - Troubleshooting server, application, and connectivity issues. - Managing security configurations, SSL certificates, and user access. - Configuring web servers (IHS/Apache) and plugin integration. - Supporting high availability, failover, and disaster recovery activities. - Automating administration tasks using Shell, Jython, or wsadmin scripts. - Coordinating with application, database, middleware, and infrastructure teams.
