As a Welder Advanced - Level 1 here at Honeywell, you will perform welding operations to join metal components using various welding techniques. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and precision of welds, adhering to safety standards, and maintaining equipment. This role is crucial in supporting our manufacturing processes and contributing to the production of high-quality products. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations by producing strong, precise welds that meet our stringent standards. Your work will ensure the reliability and safety of our products, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing team. - ITI- Welding OR Diploma -Mechanical - Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a similar industry. - A valid certificate in welding from reputed institution is preferred - Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and creativity. - Interpret blueprints, drawings, procedures and measurements to plan weld layouts. - Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. - Set up components for welding according to specifications. - Operate cutting machine, beveling machine, grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded. - Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in required positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead). - Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws. - Maintain equipment with accessories in good condition without compromising on safety. **Technical/Functional Skills:** - Proven experience as a welder. - Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures in GTAW manual process and mixed process GTAW+SMAW. - Hands on experience in welding of CI, SS, Duplex, Hastelloy material. - Experience in welding of pipe joints consisting of Butt weld, Fillet weld, socket weld from 1/2” to 12” sizes. - Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.). - Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.) - Knowledge of welding tests. Like Microscope, Radiography, Liquid penetrant, Tensile, Guided bend, Toughness, Microstructure, Corrosion. - Knowledge of ISO 9001,45001,50001.
