Wireless Network Security Engineer (Enterprise WLAN & Cisco Wireless) **Job Title:** Wireless Network Security Engineer **Location:** Remote **Experience:** 58 Years **Employment Type:** Full-Time **Hiring Type:** Team Expansion About the Role We are seeking an experienced **Wireless Network Security Engineer** to join a high-performing Network Security team supporting large-scale enterprise and BFSI customer environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in **Wireless LAN (WLAN) design, RF optimization, Cisco Wireless technologies, and network security implementations**. This role involves designing, deploying, optimizing, and troubleshooting enterprise wireless networks while supporting security device migrations and implementation projects. The engineer will lead WLAN migration engagements, perform wireless assessments, and deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance wireless solutions. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Wireless Network Design - Design and deploy enterprise-grade wireless networks utilizing: - Wi-Fi 6 - LTE - 5G - Satellite Connectivity - Develop high-level and low-level network designs. - Perform wireless capacity planning and coverage analysis. - Design wireless solutions for large enterprise branch environments. Wireless Site Surveys & RF Optimization - Conduct predictive and onsite wireless surveys. - Analyze RF environments using Ekahau Pro and Sidekick. - Identify interference, coverage gaps, and performance bottlenecks. - Optimize: - Signal strength - Coverage - Capacity - Roaming performance - Channel utilization WLAN Deployment & Migration - Lead large-scale WLAN migration projects. - Manage end-to-end deployment and implementation activities. - Execute wireless refresh and modernization initiatives. - Develop migration plans and rollback procedures. - Coordinate with customer stakeholders and project teams. Cisco Wireless Infrastructure Deploy, configure, and support: - Cisco Wi-Fi 6 Access Points - Catalyst 9800 Wireless Controllers - Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) - Enterprise WLAN architectures - Wireless security policies and configurations Security & Compliance - Implement wireless security best practices. - Configure: - WPA2/WPA3 - VPN technologies - Network segmentation - Firewalls - NAC solutions - Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards. - Support security device implementations and migrations. Identity Services & Security Integration - Deploy and configure Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). - Integrate authentication and authorization services. - Implement secure access policies. - Support Identity and Access Management initiatives. Troubleshooting & Support - Troubleshoot complex L1–L7 network and wireless issues. - Perform root cause analysis and problem resolution. - Resolve WLAN performance, connectivity, roaming, and authentication issues. - Support production incidents and customer escalations. Documentation & Automation - Create and maintain: - Design Documents - Implementation Plans - Migration Plans - Operational Documentation - Support automation initiatives using: - Python - REST APIs - Network automation tools Required Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field. - 5–8 years of experience in enterprise networking and wireless technologies. - Extensive experience designing and deploying enterprise WLAN solutions. - Strong understanding of RF fundamentals and wireless optimization. - Hands-on experience with Cisco wireless products and solutions. - Experience supporting large enterprise or BFSI environments. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. - Excellent documentation and communication abilities.
