**Role & responsibilities** Job Title: Senior WordPress Developer (Offshore) **Experience:** 58 Years **Location:** Offshore **Employment Type:** Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced **WordPress Developer** with strong expertise in **WordPress development, custom plugin development, PHP, AWS, MySQL, and theme customization**. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing enterprise-grade WordPress websites and applications hosted on AWS infrastructure. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore teams. Key Responsibilities - Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and web applications. - Design and develop custom WordPress plugins and themes based on business requirements. - Perform troubleshooting, bug fixing, and performance optimization of WordPress applications. - Develop and maintain backend functionality using PHP and PHP-FPM. - Optimize WordPress performance, security, scalability, and reliability. - Manage and support AWS-hosted WordPress environments. - Work with AWS services including EC2, RDS/Aurora, CloudWatch, Route53, and S3. - Design, develop, and optimize MySQL database structures and queries. - Implement responsive and user-friendly website themes and layouts. - Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services. - Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Support deployments, monitoring, CI/CD activities, and production issue resolution. - Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders for successful delivery. Required Skills WordPress - Strong experience with WordPress CMS architecture. - Custom WordPress Plugin Development. - Custom Theme Development and Theme Customization. - WooCommerce experience is preferred. - WordPress security, performance tuning, and optimization. Backend Development - PHP (5+ years hands-on experience). - PHP-FPM configuration and performance tuning. - REST API development and integration. - Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). Database - MySQL database design and optimization. - Experience with AWS Aurora and RDS. - Query optimization and database performance tuning. Cloud & Infrastructure - AWS EC2 - AWS RDS/Aurora - AWS S3 - CloudWatch Monitoring - Route53 DNS Management - Basic Linux server administration Additional Skills - Git/GitHub - CI/CD pipelines - Nginx/Apache - HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery - Agile/Scrum methodology Preferred Qualifications - Experience working in enterprise or large-scale WordPress environments. - Knowledge of Cloudflare, CDN implementations, and caching mechanisms. - Exposure to Docker and containerized deployments. - AWS Certification is a plus. - Experience working in offshore delivery models.
