Job Title **CAESP / Workload Automation Administrator** Experience **5 14 Years** Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **CAESP / Workload Automation professional** to manage, support, and enhance enterprise batch scheduling environments. The role focuses on job scheduling, production support, incident resolution, automation, and ensuring timely and reliable batch processing across critical business systems. Key Responsibilities CAESP / Workload Automation Administration - Administer and support **CAESP (Enterprise Systems Platform)** for job scheduling - Create, modify, and maintain **job definitions, calendars, dependencies, and triggers** - Manage batch workloads across distributed and mainframe environments (as applicable) - Monitor daily production batch cycles and ensure on-time completion Production Support & Operations - Provide **L2/L3 production support** for workload automation issues - Perform **job failure analysis**, reruns, restarts, and recovery actions - Handle batch delays, abends, and SLA breaches - Participate in **247 on-call / rotational shifts** as required ITSM, Incident & Change Management - Manage incidents, problems, and service requests using **ITSM tools** (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) - Participate in **major incident bridges** related to batch or scheduling failures - Perform **Root Cause Analysis (RCA)** and implement preventive actions - Support **change and release management** activities related to batch jobs Automation, Optimization & Reporting - Optimize batch schedules for performance, dependencies, and resource utilization - Identify opportunities for **automation and standardization** - Generate daily, weekly, and SLA compliance reports - Maintain batch run books, SOPs, and operational documentation Collaboration & Stakeholder Management - Coordinate with **application teams, DBAs, infrastructure, and business users** - Communicate batch status, delays, and resolutions to stakeholders - Provide guidance and best practices to application teams on scheduling standards Skills & Technical Requirements Mandatory Skills - Strong hands-on experience with: - **CAESP / ESP Workload Automation** - Batch scheduling and production control - Good understanding of: - Job dependencies, calendars, events, and triggers - SLA-driven batch processing - Strong **production support experience** in enterprise environments - Working knowledge of **ITSM / ITIL processes** Preferred / GoodtoHave Skills - Exposure to other schedulers (ControlM, Autosys, TWS) - Mainframe or distributed systems knowledge - Scripting (Shell, REXX, Python – advantage) - Linux/Unix command knowledge - Banking or missioncritical batch environments exposure Soft Skills - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - Ability to work under pressure in timecritical environments - Clear communication and proactive stakeholder updates - Good documentation and audit readiness mindset Experience Level Expectations 5–8 Years - Hands-on CAESP job scheduling and monitoring - Batch failure resolution and daily operations ownership - ITSM ticket handling and RCA participation 9–12 Years - Lead workload automation support for applications or platforms - Drive optimization, automation, and SLA improvements - Mentor junior team members and handle escalations 13–14 Years - Own enterprise scheduler strategy and governance - Define best practices, standards, and modernization roadmap - Act as SME and final escalation point
