**Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced and dynamic WPE Webkit Browser developer engineer with the media (video) domain expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in WPE Webkit Browser development with a preferred background in Media/STB/Streaming devices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of the WPE WebKit- based browser stack for RDK-V and RDK-E platforms. - Root-cause rendering regressions, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks reported from field deployments or QA teams - Support browser migrations , including backporting critical security fixes and managing custom patch sets - Ensure seamless interoperability between the browser, HTML5 Media Source Extensions (MSE/EME), and hardware-specific decoders for OTT application stability - Act as the subject matter expert for interactions between the browser UI process, graphics drivers (Wayland/EGL), and system services **Qualifications:** - Deep proficiency in C++ and a strong understanding of Linux internal memory management and IPC. - Hands-on experience with WebKit’s multi-process architecture, specifically the injection of bundles - Practical experience with Wayland/Westeros, EGL/OpenGL ES for hardware-accelerated rendering - Familiarity with GStreamer and how it integrates with WebKit for video playback and DRM-protected content. - Exposure to Yocto build system - Understanding of the RDK-V/RDK-B architecture - Experience using tools like GDB, Valgrind, Perf, or WebKit’s internal profiling tools to diagnose low-level system issues. **Why Join Us:** - Opportunity to work on cutting-edge media domain technologies. - Collaborative and innovative work environment. - Professional growth and development opportunities.
