**Key Responsibilities** **1. Financial Accounting & Operations** - Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department (accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash flow). - Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing. - Manage banking relationships, working capital facilities, and foreign exchange (FX) transactions for import/export of raw materials. **2. Cost Accounting & Inventory Management** - Monitor and analyze Product Costing (COGS) , tracking variances between standard and actual costs (yield losses, scrap, and raw material price fluctuations). - Oversee valuation of complex inventory (Raw Materials, Work-in-Progress/Intermediates, and Finished Goods) in compliance with relevant accounting standards. - Collaborate with the plant operations and supply chain teams to conduct regular physical inventory verification and reconcile variances. **3. Compliance & Taxation** - Ensure strict compliance with local and international statutory requirements (e.g., GST/VAT, Custom Duties, Corporate Tax, and TDS). - Coordinate and lead internal, statutory, and tax audits, ensuring zero non-compliance reports. **4. Reporting & Systems** - Prepare detailed financial statements, budget variance reports, and MIS reports for senior management. - Maintain and optimize the finance module of the companys **ERP system** (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics). **Role Requirements & Qualifications** **Requirement** **Description** **Education** CA with Graduation in commerce **Experience** 8 to 10 years of core accounting experience in a manufacturing setup (API, Bulk Drugs, or Pharmaceuticals preferred). **Technical Skills** Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP FI/CO module is a massive plus) and MS Excel. Deep knowledge of cost accounting in a process-manufacturing environment.
