Who You'll Work With Over the past two decades, Bain has formalized industry and capability areas, internally known as "Practices", integral to how Bain wins and delivers results to its clients. A practice is considered a business unit of Bain. The primary role of a Practice is to drive growth for Bain in a particular industry or capability, together with offices, and boosting Bain's expertise and commercial excellence. Financial Services (FS) is the Bain Practice responsible for developing intellectual property and commercializing Bain’s approach to strategy, transformation, and operations across multiple sectors in this space, including Banking, Insurance, Wealth and Asset Management, Payments. What You'll Do Strategy and Planning • APAC FS practice plan and budget Develop regional practice plan and budget with RPL; coordinate with global team to ensure consistency of elements and approach; monitor progress • APAC FS meetings (leadership level) Own regional meeting planning including agenda and facilitators; present elements of the content • Practice team management Coach and mentor team members in areas of collaboration (Knowledge management team and BCN); ensure teams are receiving opportunities to build skills in content development Affiliate Management and Staffing • Affiliate engagement through regional calls/ meetings, training/information sharing Set agendas for regional calls, meetings and trainings, coordinate with RPL and facilitators; manage logistics for regional meetings; present content on some of these calls • Affiliate career development, HLAs and ratings Provide input to Practice Senior Manager/RPL on affiliate contributions tracked during the HLA process; gather and coordinate input from sectors, interlocks, and offices. • Staffing and expert deployment in region; utilization management Coordinate with offices on affiliate staffing, making suggestions to manage utilization and skill development for individuals Commercial Operations • Rapid response for commercial opportunities Support case teams with commercial requests in region, providing more detailed and nuanced recommendations to rapid response requests, building on KM team initial responses and linking to sector/topic experts, support proposals / content creation as needed • Client priorities Support Practice Senior Manager/RPL with client priority selections for the region; communicate list and rationale to global team • Account management process Set account management calls with RPL, attend and share best practices learned from other account calls, track and follow-up on aligned next steps and actions • Interlock execution Measure interlock progress, including content creation and commercialization; support interlock content creation as needed, in coordination with the sector Marketing and Brand Building • Regional external meetings/forums Work directly with hosts and content facilitators to prepare for events; pre-wire calls, dry-runs on content and discussions • Marketing Support marketing activities in the region, distribution of publications and IP (also via activation of the affiliates) About You Education & Experience • 6–9 years' professional services / Financial Services experience or undergrad or 5–6 years' experience with MBA/Master's Experience in management consulting (if possible client facing work) For internal applicants: • Bain consulting experience at the Manager level (potentially senior Consultant level) • Experience or strong interest in the industry/capability of the Practice Experience: • Experience / expertise or strong interest in Financial Services Required Knowledge, Skills, and abilities • Demonstrated track record of ownership over a complex area of work (or complex portfolio) and commercial drive requiring limited supervision • Able to set the direction and frame priorities and confident to suggest changes in direction when needed • Able to manage the process end-to-end, including coordinating key stakeholders, with a strong focus on diligence and zero-defect execution • Demonstrated ability to support multiple 'priority' pieces of work simultaneously, actively re-prioritizing in real time to maximize impact while managing time and effort on the highest priority projects; can set expectations with stakeholders; understands and anticipates stakeholder needs and knows when to bring in additional support • Mindset of continuous improvement, proactively challenging status quo • Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively, including with senior stakeholders; confidently lead meetings and trusted to manage substantial and complex portions of client calls and discussions • Emerging track record of successfully running and navigating meetings with senior stakeholders with different viewpoints • Known to be a team player who inspires and apprentices with a growth mindset Additional Requirements • Flexibility with hours needed to work with global team • In-office requirements as per local office and PPK gui
