Company: Titan Company Limited Tanishq Job Title: Assistant Category Manager – Studded Jewellery Category: Jewellery – Studded Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka Experience: 6–9 Years About the Role Titan Company Limited is looking for an experienced Assistant Category Manager – Studded Jewellery to join the Merchandising team at Tanishq. The role will be responsible for supporting the growth and profitability of the studded jewellery category through category strategy, assortment planning, product performance analysis, market intelligence, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities • Support the category strategy and annual business plan for Studded Jewellery in line with sales and profitability objectives. • Drive assortment planning and product mix based on customer preferences, market trends, and business requirements. • Analyze sales, sell-through, inventory, margins, ageing, and product performance to identify opportunities and gaps. • Identify category growth opportunities through market, customer, and competitor analysis. • Work closely with Design, Product Development, Planning, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Retail, and Finance teams. • Support the development and launch of new studded jewellery collections and product lines. • Monitor product-wise and collection-wise performance and recommend actions to improve sales and profitability. • Manage inventory levels, replenishment, stock ageing, and assortment availability across stores/channels. • Support pricing, promotional, and markdown decisions based on category performance and market dynamics. • Track competitor assortments, pricing, product launches, and market trends. • Prepare MIS, dashboards, category reviews, business presentations, and management reports. • Support seasonal and campaign-based category planning and execution. • Ensure alignment between category plans and the overall Tanishq brand and customer proposition. Required Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field. • 6–9 years of relevant experience in Category Management, Jewellery Merchandising, Buying, Product Management, or Retail. • Relevant experience in Studded Jewellery is highly preferred. • Strong understanding of jewellery assortment, product trends, pricing, margins, inventory, and retail business dynamics. • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint. • Good understanding of category performance metrics and commercial levers. • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Strong customer orientation with a good understanding of jewellery trends and consumer behaviour.
