Job Title: Data Scientist **Department** : India COE Compliance Hub **About Business line/Function:** India COE Compliance Hub is focused on protecting the reputation of the Group and effectively manage risk across all business areas by providing support to various Compliance functions. At present, the department is broadly organized into divisions, which embed into the areas they support to provide services for Global Compliance Training, Capital Markets Surveillance, Electronic Communication Surveillance, Compliance Migrations Co-Ordination, Personal Account Dealing, MIS and Projects support. The team works closely with business partners in CIB and the wider group **Position Purpose** : As a Data Scientist, you would join a rapidly growing AIR Tech team currently composed of around forty AI experts (ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts) responsible for developing AI solutions. Our AIR Tech Team Holds a Unique Position In Driving The Bank’s Digital Transformation Through The Development Of Machine Learning, NLP, GenAI, And Agentic AI Solutions Across All Teams Within The Following Departments - Compliance: fraud, anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism financing, etc. - RISK: coverage of operational risk, credit risk, market risk, etc. **Responsibilities** - You contribute to the industrialization of structured and unstructured data modeling, with a particular focus on GenAI / Agentic AI, which is rapidly expanding both within the group and the team, in collaboration with other data scientists and ML engineers. - You take part in building GenAI and Agentic AI solutions to improve process efficiency, with a strong focus on code and model quality, in compliance with production standards. - You contribute to the entire data project lifecycle (exploration, development, evaluation, pre-production preparation, monitoring), including the development of web applications supporting AI solutions. - Beyond project work, data scientists are encouraged to share their expertise at various levels: within the team, through technical workshops and state-of-the-art or AI news reviews, as well as externally during our regular open discussion sessions on artificial intelligence. Contributing Responsibilities - Communicate effectively with stakeholders across locations - Provide clear reporting, KPIs, and performance indicators for AI solutions - Proactively escalate risks/issues impacting delivery - Support coordination across global teams (notably France) **Technical & Behavioral Competencies** **Must have** - Strong Python development skills: pandas, sklearn, APIs & services (FastAPI) - Hands-on experience in: Machine Learning and Generative AI, Model deployment & productionization - Experience with: LangChain / OpenAI SDK (GenAI integration) - Solid understanding of: Software engineering best practices, Data structures, algorithms, and applied mathematics - Experience with: Model monitoring and lifecycle management - Strong communication skills (English) - Ability to collaborate with international teams **Good To Have Skills** - Experience with web frameworks (Flask, React,). - building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, …) - maintaining versioning & tracking tools (MLflow) - Knowledge of structured SQL databases and unstructured data stores such as Elasticsearch. - Familiarity with French language (added advantage) **Specific Qualifications** - Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
