Role & responsibilities • Export Sales & Key Account Management: Take ownership of sales and customer support for existing booked orders while supporting acquisition of new export orders from international utilities, renewables, and industrial customers. • Product Homologation & Vendor Approvals: Manage product homologation and vendor approval processes with international customers to unlock new business opportunities. • Certifications & Qualification: Coordinate type tests, certifications, and qualification projects with internal stakeholders, testing laboratories, and certification agencies; coordinate customer and certification-body factory audits and closure of audit observations. • Technical Documentation: Prepare and submit technical documentation, compliance matrices, and customer approval dossiers; maintain trackers for registrations, qualifications, and type tests. • Market Research & New Market Entry: Conduct market research on utility approvals, vendor registrations, and certification requirements for target export markets; support market-entry initiatives and benchmarking of market share and competitors. • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with international utilities, agents, distributors, and traders to strengthen Sterlite's brand positioning; ensure technical specifications are received, clarified, and agreed with customers at the order stage. • Logistics & Export Documentation: Collaborate with Finance and Logistics on shipment and export/import documentation to ensure timely deliveries (including DDP shipments). • New Business / New Products: Support product development initiatives by identifying approval and compliance requirements; contribute to expansion into new products such as solar cables. • Reporting & Tools: Use CRM/Salesforce for accurate business reporting; maintain up-to-date analytical reporting and MIS. • Customer Focus: Engage effectively with global customers and channel feedback on product quality improvements and changes. Preferred candidate profile • Experience: 35 years in export sales, business development, or international project/documentation coordination preferably in cable, conductor, electrical equipment, switchgear, transformer, or related manufacturing industries. • Education: Bachelor's degree; engineering background (Electrical) preferred but not mandatory. • Domain Knowledge: Understanding of international vendor registration, product certification/homologation processes, and export documentation; familiarity with international utilities, renewables, and industrial customers. • Tools: Good working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint; CRM/Salesforce experience preferred. • Target Industries: Cable manufacturing, conductor manufacturing, or large-volume manufacturing.
