**Position Overview** - **Job Title:** Assistant Manager - Fixed Income Settlements - **Department:** Fixed Income Settlements - **Location:** Bangalore - **Business Line/Function:** Global Market Securities Settlements. This team ensures that security transactions (Bonds, Equities, Complex Securities, ETF, SLAB, PNS, etc.) and positions match commitments with counterparties in accordance with Group, Regulatory, and contractual policies. - **Purpose:** To manage the timely settlement of Fixed Income transactions (specifically DTC and Euroclear), resolve reconciliation breaks, and act as the first level of escalation to ensure team deliverables are met while mitigating operational and reputational risk. **Job Responsibilities** - **Settlement Management:** Ensure all trades are instructed, matched, and settled on a timely and cost-effective basis; monitor failing trades and update Calypso with fail reasons. - **Risk Mitigation:** Reduce potential fails via pairing or partial deliveries; monitor market risks (buy-ins, penalties); and improve STP rates with custodians to reduce manual intervention. - **Reconciliations:** Investigate and resolve Nostro, Depot, and accounting breaks reported by Securities Control and Accounting teams. - **Operational Oversight:** Perform daily tasks including mark-to-markets, contract compares, end-of-day balancing, and settlement of DTC coupon and redemption items. - **Stakeholder Coordination:** Liaise with clients, brokers, and internal support functions; maintain relationships with traders and sales; and coordinate with CIB CLM OCRM. - **Departmental Support:** Update SOPs, procedures, and skill matrices; contribute to UAT testing; and provide coaching and training for new joiners. **Required Education, Skills, and Experience (Must Have)** - **Education:** Bachelors Degree or equivalent. - **Experience:** Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar domain (DTC Settlements and Treasury Settlements). - **Technical Knowledge:** Deep understanding of the Trade Lifecycle and specific expertise in Fixed Income products. - **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in DTC Settlements & Applications, Reconciliations, and Advanced Excel. - **Behavioral Skills:** Strong communication and client-focus, ability to collaborate in a team, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. **Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience (Nice to Have)** - **Reporting Tools:** Experience with PowerBI and Tableau. - **Analytical Ability:** Proven track record of being result-oriented with strong organizational and rigorous attention to detail. **About BNP Paribas India Solutions:** Established in 2005, BNP Paribas India Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas SA, European Unions leading bank with an international reach.
