Assistant Manager - Procurement (Electrical & Mechanical)

**About the role:** This position is responsible for strategic sourcing for multiple categories of the Flipkart Business for Infra related requirements pertaining to **Electrical Works in Warehouses, Cold Chain ( for dark stores and deep reserve warehouses), HVAC for Warehouses, Material Handling Equipment (MHE) on Capex and Opex and after sales service support for multiple cities pan India**. This role will work closely with key business partners to take on ongoing challenges to drive & implement category management, strategic & operational sourcing, & supplier management activities. In their role, successful candidate will leverage strategic sourcing models, including cost analysis of Flipkart's projects for warehouses in the past. Candidate is expected to follow the Flipkart's sourcing process from building a category strategy to identifying specific sourcing opportunities, bidding, contract negotiations, issuing purchase orders, & implementing them. This process includes steps such as preparing for market research, price/cost analysis, creating should cost models, TCO, industry trends, product best practices, & industry benchmarking. In addition, the candidate should work with related departments such as Facility & Infrastructure Design, Projects, Automation, Maintenance, Safety, & IT to build & maintain a supplier base for & achieve SCM optimization through continuous review & evaluation. **Key deliverables:** - Achieves closure for multiple packages with agility within the given turnaround time as per business needs. - Develops and improves the existing RFX Package in the assigned spend categories. - Establish a purchasing strategy to reduce the cost of purchasing in the long term & introduce an optimal purchasing solution by comprehensively considering the quality, delivery time, & cost. - Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to consider impact on Cost/Quality/Delivery/Support & also on desired contract needs after internal discussions. - Create rate contracts, legal contracts, AMCs and SLAs wherever applicable, in coordination with relevant stakeholders. - Develop & implement strategies for procurement, strategic sourcing, & vendor management. Championing & gaining alignment with corporate & business unit management around the vision of cross-functional business unit collaboration - Achieves targeted cost reduction results through leadership in strategic sourcing, supplier integration, continuous improvement & innovation/technology. - Identify & drive procurement value projects, deliver total cost of ownership (TCO) value including cost improvement, operational efficiency, maintenance costs - Communicates & works effectively with management at all levels within the company & its supply base - Improve the process by identifying problems in existing processes, analysing the causes of occurrence, & introduced solutions - Model & promote Flipkart values to create an environment that mobilizes empowered people to achieve business goals. - All duties as directed or modified. **Basic Qualifications:** - Degree in Engineering ( Civil/Electrical/ Mechanical); business management preferred or Professional certification in Procurement (CPSM or CIPS or APICS etc.,) - **4-10 years of work experience in Sourcing & Supply Chain, or Procurement, preferably with a focus on construction or infrastructure procurement**. - Ability to quickly identify key stakeholders, establish & maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners - Ability to establish a strategic sourcing plan considering the internal & external environment, such as market conditions, supplier conditions, etc - Negotiate vendor contracts with best-in class terms & conditions that reflect specific business needs & SLAs - Manage pipeline of multiple sourcing projects & report on costs savings - Solid team player; can work cooperatively & effectively in a team environment - Strong consultative / analytical / problem solving skills - Excellent interpersonal / communication / negotiation skills. - Proficiency in Excel and understanding of data. - Multiple category experience is a plus and experience of working on e sourcing tools like Ariba is a plus.
