About the Role: As an Assistant Manager – Programs, you will own execution across a defined set of courses within upGrad's portfolio. You will drive program strategy, go-to-market execution, and revenue delivery - operating with a high degree of independence and building toward full portfolio ownership over time. Key Responsibilities: • Portfolio & Program Strategy: Own the development and launch of courses within your portfolio - driving pricing, positioning, and value proposition. • Market Research: Track competitor offerings, customer demand signals, and industry trends - translating intelligence into sharper portfolio strategy and better prioritization decisions. • GTM Execution: Partner with Performance Marketing and Product Marketing to drive targeting, messaging, and campaign execution - with a clear line of sight to CAC and conversion outcomes. • Revenue Delivery: Own revenue and CM targets for your portfolio - working with Sales and Revenue teams, identifying risks early, and driving interventions to closure. • Program Operations: Manage the operational coordination required to take a program from development to launch - aligning timelines and outcomes across multiple internal and external stakeholders • Cross-functional Coordination: Drive stakeholder alignment across functions - taking accountability for timelines, deliverables, and program execution from start to finish. • University Coordination: Engage with university partners on curriculum inputs, delivery timelines, and content updates - proactively managing dependencies to keep launches on track. • Business Monitoring: Track portfolio-level P&L, program metrics, and business performance - solving for issues in learner experience and commercial outcomes and escalating where the situation demands it. Skills & Qualifications: • 2 - 4 years of experience in business, product, or program management - ideally within ed-tech, e-commerce, or a fast-paced consumer business. • Commercially sharp - comfortable owning revenue and CM outcomes, with familiarity in P&L thinking and CAC-level marketing metrics. • Analytical rigor and structured thinking - able to dig into data, identify root causes, and generate creative, well-reasoned solutions. Comfortable going beyond the obvious answer. • Clear, confident communicator - able to engage and influence stakeholders across functions and seniority levels. • Learner-first mindset backed by a sharp understanding of what drives commercial success.
