ASSOCIATE ARCHITECT - Data Network Security - Firewalls

Job description

Key Responsibilities • Act as the highest?level (L4) escalation point for complex network security incidents, architecture issues, and cross?platform troubleshooting. • Demonstrate deep expert?level hands?on knowledge of multi?vendor firewalls including • Cisco FTD/FMC ? ACP, NAT, SSL/TLS inspection, VPN, clustering, advanced debugs • Fortigate Policies, NAT, IPS/SSL inspection, SD?WAN, HA, FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer • Palo Alto ? App?ID, User?ID, Threat & URL filtering, NAT, GlobalProtect, Panorama • Checkpoint (R8x) ? SmartConsole, Identity Awareness, IPS, ClusterXL, advanced policy tuning • Sophos XG/UTM ? ATP, IPS, web/app filtering, VPN, HA • Lead multiple customer projects simultaneously, ensuring end to end design, delivery, implementation, migrations, and cutovers. • Drive technical strategy, security architecture decisions, and align solutions with business requirements and compliance standards. • Own weekly, daily, and executive-level communications on project progress, incident updates, delivery status, and operational metrics. • Oversee and improve the support model, ensuring smooth operations between L2, L3, SOC, and network teams. • Provide technical governance, validate solution designs, review configurations, and enforce best practices across all deployments. • Perform in depth packet analysis, traffic flow validation, and root cause investigations for major incidents. • Manage and optimize IPSec/SSL VPN, inter?site connectivity, routing dependencies, and high?availability clusters. • Review and optimize firewall rules bases, signatures, NAT configurations, and security policies for performance and compliance. • Serve as the technical mentor for L2 and L3 engineers conduct training, knowledge transfer sessions, and skill development plans. • Participate in CAB/change management, approve high?risk changes, and oversee major upgrades and migrations. • Collaborate with stakeholders, cross?functional teams, vendors, and customers to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction. • Maintain high quality documentation, architecture diagrams, SOPs, RCA reports, and project artifacts. • Drive proactive improvements, automation initiatives, and continuous optimization of network security operations.
